and they just did that, now if they hold twins down, for the win.
They delivered talloola. That young Vaughn has promise - nice throw to second for the out - real awareness there.
and they just did that, now if they hold twins down, for the win.
Apparently, all the players got together and dreamed it up - took it to the managers - got the okay and that as they say, is that.
So, the secret is to take the game to extra innings...............crafty........sort of wear them down by attrition.
One batter too late evidently.Jays up 2 zip bottom of the 7th
Twins tie it - Happ's out and Floyd is in - bottom of 8th
Nunio hits a 3-run homer and the Twins leap ahead of the Jays 5 - 2.
Gavin Floyd may not have been the proper choice as a replacement.![]()
You think?
I don't know what it more irritating IRBS - watching the Jays give the game away or having to listen to Buck moan on about the Jay's bad luck as he rambles off all their bad stats.
Nobody has ever claimed Buck is not a homeboy announcer.
Nobody has ever claimed Buck is not a homeboy announcer.
I guess they better hope for a win tomorrow to do better than a split against the 2nd worst team in baseball.
too bad for happ, he pitched a great game, but didn't win, oh well, he did his job, can't take
that away from him.
He actually got tagged with the loss. But if your team only scores 2 runs on your behalf that sometimes happens.
I didn't watch the last few innings, so didn't know if he was responsible for the runs or not,
so I did wonder if he had a loss or just a no decision. too bad, all that work and a loss tagged
on him as well.
On a brighter note, I hear the Raptors beat the Cavs yesterday so TO has something to be happy about.
Jays have alerted teams that Drew Storen is available for trade. Maybe they can get a few baseballs and a used baseball bat for him.
And if they are smart they'll get a couple of gloves thrown in.![]()
