It's got nothing to do with my political sympathies, but more to do with the way to treat a human being. Why can't she just be told "NO" without all the name calling? I have no knowledge about her being a "rich spoiled brat" Does everyone have to be an oaf like Locutus? :)

Because people like you seem to think she is some sort of royalty and we the taxpayer should be bowing to her every whim and demand.

Wrong on two counts, she apparently pointed out she doesn't have the resources to handle her work load. I don't think she's the first person to make that request. I have no idea about her being some kind of royalty, although I have no doubt she's probably much closer to it than the author of the O.P. :) :) :) :) I'm not sure it was either a whim or a demand. I took it as being a request. Good luck to whoever suggested I'm a closet Liberal. :) :) :)

What is her work load? It is not government work so why should the government (ie: the taxpayer) fund this help?

Also, since she is primary doing fundraisers for the Lieberal Party of Canada, why shouldn't they provide the extra nanny? Or her or her husband who are sitting on more money than you and I will see in our lifetimes combined? Why should this come off your and my taxes?

But if we are going the direction of helping Canadians who are struggling, I find my apartment a bit crowded. Perhaps the government should build me a huge mansion with a pool to help out.

This whole "broo ha ha" is very simple. The Prime Minister of Canada's wife has NO official standing OR duties. She is no different than your wife, my wife, or the wife of Suncor's CEO. The taxpayers of Canada do not pay for your wife to do what she chooses to do and neither do they pay my wife or Suncor's CEO's wife. None of our wives have taxpayer supplied assistants. IF Mrs. Trudeau has over extended herself, and she wishes to continue with what she has chosen to do, then she and her husband can pay for the "assistant" that she wants. The same as you, or I, or the CEO of Suncor would have to do.

JLM, your on my friends list I like you but let this one go bro.... I still got your back if you choose otherwise

You can't agree with everybody all the time Johnny. I can agree with her concerns w/o agreeing with her requests & I don't see the necessity to denigrate her as a person. If her request is wrong just tell her "NO". There's no sin in disagreeing with her, but there is in calling her a "spoiled brat" if you don't personally know the person.

Yep.

Really? So you personally know Ghomeshi?

I'm not sure what her connection is to Ghomeshi!

Read what you said about calling Sophie names. You have been very good at calling others names. Specifically Ghomeshi, recently.

I actually find the attacks on the PM's wife sort of juvenile. I'm no fan of Trudeau, but this whole thing looks very petty. People who disagree with the Trudeau government should be attacking the policy, not his wife.

If only the PM didn't make the child tax credit for the rich one of his big policy issues in the last election. To me this makes this about policy.

Gerry, no one else on the forum unless it's Locutus holds a candle to you when it comes to calling people names! Besides, I don't see much comparison between Sophie and Ghomeshi. What names did I call Ghomeshi, he hasn't admitted to himself? :) :)

I'm not the one telling people they shouldn't call others names that they have never met. That would be you, numbnuts.

You have called Ghomeshi an a$$hole and a rapist, at least. Yet, you have never met him. Seems like that would go against what you have said, or is it a matter of do as I say, not as I do? Is hypocrite your middle name?

You're hilarious................................I'm the hypocrite, yeah, right. :) :)

Maybe that's because I think/thought he is, wouldn't put it past the A$$hole. We're not in court here, Gerry, I'm allowed to think whatever I want & since he's a public figure I'm also allowed to say it. I doubt if I'm the first person to think this way! I watched Kathryn Borel's speech and I don't think she's lying and if it turns out she is, well I could be wrong.............wouldn't be the first time & certainly no worse than calling women "dumb twats". :) :)

no but she and pony are behaving badly. it might fly in their little elite circle but most Canadians have no stomach for these petulant crybabies.
