We grow up and reject notions like Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny. Most of us grow up and also reject the notion of gnomes and elves and pixies and sprites and sh*t. But they won't let go of this god thing.
75% of the world's population believes in some form of deity or multiple deities. That's 5.25 billion people. Even the three religions that share the same deity believe in it differently and thusly for some stupid f*cking reason, can't get along. Why? Because religions are little more than cultural mores that have been codified by men who give credit to some nonexistent deity. It was actually a way for the framers and "leaders" of religions to bestow some measure of divinity upon themselves by claiming some nonexistent deity chose them personally.

And whenever he's talked about religion, he's always mentioned how everyone gets into heaven, how nobody is punished in hell, everyone who wants it is forgiven. It's a lovely view.
