Jeez, you're not agreeing with anything today, Walter. W.T.F. pissed in your corn flakes? Not like you to be THIS miserable! :) Maybe have some hot milk and go to bed!

He's not steven harper should be way up there.

Doesn't keep stuff as close to the chest as Harper either! We just have to wait to see if that's good or bad. :)

Nah, let's give "the devil" his due, he's definitely no dummy. Now whether he will succeed or fail is anyone's guess. I do worry about spending money he ain't got!
He's young and foolish and full of himself. He's so gone in 5 years and we'll be totally in debt.

Don't bet your first born! :) (I was hoping Harper was going to win the election too, but he didn't, so we better give the new reality a chance) You'll just work yourself into an ulcer otherwise!

Bottom line is we have to repair or replace infrastructure or it's going to cost us more in the long run as failing to do so will ultimately start making people sick. Sewers will start leaking, as roads become over crowded we'll be breathing in more carbon monoxide, structures will fail and come crashing down on our heads.

Canada was much more respected with Harper at the helm.

Really? Name one world leader who got along with Harper.

He's young and foolish and full of himself. He's so gone in 5 years and we'll be totally in debt.

If he reforms the electoral system as he promised it will be goodbye to right wing governments forever, given that 60 + percent of Canadians regularly vote left of centre. And have you forgotten that it was the Harper Conservatives who posted a record-setting $55 billion dollar deficit in 2009?

Trudeau represents the same class as Harper, money honey, always look for the money. It matters not what issues forth from it's cake hole cuz its foot print in the snow always lead to the BANK.

What an utterly stupid question.

You sound surprised considering that for some folks, a vote is nothing more than desire to believe that they are part of the in crowd.

Ahhh yes, balance is never a good thing to the morally, ethically and intellectually superior.

Funny, isn't it?... All the do-gooders that piss and moan about the democratic process are the first to first in line to quash the very basis of that system.

There's nothing wrong with the democratic process and I don't whine about the process but I do object to the results of that process enriching the private banks first before those who engaged in the process. That enrichment is done in contravention of The Bank of Canada Act and nullifies the process since 1974.

We are on the same page in many regards although I would suggest that the premise of 'enriching the banks' is a hollow statement considering that they pay cumulative taxes (various forms) well into the 10 or 11 figures.

we have our own central bank
unlike all but one or two ENEMY COUNTRIES ( lybia syria etc...) and LIKE all the enslaved nato countries
there is no reason for a national debt
except to be subjugated by the lenders

there is no party difference
till we do what Iceland did and repudiate the illegal debts we are screwed
and no party will do that because they are all pawnd

global enslavement is pretty much a done deal

just a quick example
Treasury's bank bailout list - CNNMoney.com
tarp bail amounts far exceed the taxes they pay

I know the royal bank was in the initial tarp bailout top twenty

and we have our own NOT PRIVATELY OWNED central bank which is to fund the government the way they have borrowed except interest free
for the people
unlike all the rothschilde/privately " I care not who is elected..." owned banks all the NATO countries are enslaved to ( DEMOCRACY!!!???? geezus!)

there is no reason to borrow except to feed the loan sharks
period

Do you know how many currencies self imploded under a countries central bank?
A great deal many.

taje for example, if I decided to open a bank in my name to finance myself. How lagit would you feel that is? Would you as a investor want to invest in that? Would you be quick to pull out your money from that investment, if you saw I was overspending?

That's why you have privat lenders as banks.

Just cause you see something on the Internet, doesn't mean it's intelligent. All countries used to finance themselves and it didn't work. If it did work then we would still be doing it. Duh.

TARP bailed-out the customers of those banks/lenders... The individual banks were the distribution mechanism and nothing more.

Also, Central Banks aren't 'banks' like you might believe.. They don't have a local branch you can go into to pay the hydro bill and get a mortgage. They exist to create and control the nation's money supply and act as a guarantor for the other Charter Banks to do the actual banking for citizens.

PS - The national debt we have is also a function of all the free lunches that the citizenry has demanded over time... One might even say that it is the direct and meterial cost of socialism
