“A victory for the freedom of all Canadians” — JCCF responds to court ruling in Trinity Western University v. Law Society of British Columbia

CALGARY: The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) today responded to the B.C. court ruling in Trinity Western University v. Law Society of British Columbia.

The JCCF intervened in this court action, in support of freedom of association, as protected by Section 2(d) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The B.C. Supreme Court today ruled against the Law Society of British Columbia (LSBC) refusing to recognize the law program of Trinity Western University (TWU), a private Evangelical Christian university in Langley, B.C.

Since being a Christian isn't a part time deal you cannot realistically be a Christian and a member of the BAR. (as in Crown Temple Lawyers from the City of London and the Admiralty Law it represents. A Christian would be able to swear an oath to the BAR, they would have to swear on one that 'would do no harm to their client'.

Q-Why was the lawyer buried up to his neck in sand?

A-They ran out of sand.
Height of disappointment. A bus with only Lawyers went off a cliff and two seats were empty.

Could you post thier decission? This should be overturned. The supreme court should be suspended.
Good luck in trying to get a Judge to fire another Judge. (want a link to how things go when a complaint is made to the Canadian Judicial Council. I would have to PM it as the names of the people are visible, it on a g-drive account. Gerr should ask for it as it also includes all that stuff in the 'person life' part. Saves him typing that I lied about that part)

and how do you figure that?
Easy. Read the article. It has to with "moral" standards on campus, not what type of law is being taught.
The argument was essentially that since TWU discriminated against the LGBTQ community, their law program couldn't possibly uphold the values of Canadian law.
It's not like they're being taught to practice Biblical law once they graduate.
