The greatest peacetime UK Prime Minister of the 20th Century, winning three elections on the bounce, the latter two by landslides. She kicked the Argies out of the Falklands and turned this country from a Socialist, strike-ridden basketcase of the 1970s (people of a certain age will be able to remember the terrible Winter of Discontent under James Callaghan in 1978/79) to a wealthy, rapidly-growing economy of the late 1980s and early 1990s (and then Labour came along in 1997 and ****ed it all up again, leading to yet another Conservative government, this time led by Cameron, having to repair Labour's economic damage once again).

The problem with such ignorant comments is that they ignore the fact that Mrs Thatcher was born into humble beginnings and lived her early years with her sister Muriel in a flat above one of the two grocery shops her father owned in Grantham, Lincolnshire, the town where she was born, and she became wealthy and successful through hard work.
