In usage, racism is a subset of bigotry. I would suggest that a better definition of "bigotry" is "ascribing to all members of a group traits and ideas, usually negative, held by only a minority of members of the group, usually to support hostility toward that group."

I have read that even some of the residents of the country itself are called anti-Semitic because they criticize their own government.
