This one would make a good tracking dog the other day my wife took off 5 minutes ahead of me because she had to stop at the hardware store to pick up something....when I left with Mika she had her nose to the ground for the whole quarter mile to the hardware store and stopped right at the "In" door.

Our dog, Pepper, if its cold and rainy will go back in quickly and decide that it is much more comfortable to crap indoors on the hallway to the apartment. I guess he figures even the resulting discipline is better than crapping in the cold and the rain. He is a smart dog and probably right.

The last time ours had an "accident" <knock on wood> was a year ago when she was 6 months old and she asked (barked) to go outside and I was busy doing something to go right away.....
Now I seem to be able to tell by the tone of her bark....and her check valve has much better control...lol

Pepper hates his parka with a passion. But he will tolerate it. There ain't no way nobody getting boots on his paws.

Pepper will not bark (to go out). We take him out on a schedule. He hasn't had an accident in forever. The hallway craps are not accidents but deliberate acts of malice.
