Nothing really, besides being more of an Islamic thing.
But we aren't talking about importing people from a Christian country that kills homosexuals. We're talking about importing them from a country that still has laws against it and the govt activelyenforces the law. While some citizens take matters into their own hands.
We can use all the moral relevancy we want to try and whitewash it. But at the end of the day, Wynndsock would be a marked woman in Syria.
She'd be marked in Uganda too. And it's a big issue in India as well now. Russia too.
Though I do agree that it is more open in Muslim countries what would happen to her for being 'out'.
As far as I'm aware no one who follows that has killed anyone who is homosexual in Canada, despite what their faith says.

Ahhhhhh.....so we should stop allowing immigrants from India into Canada then. Maybe deport all those here already like some rightwing nuts are suggesting with Muslims. Or maybe just put internment camps up like was done with the Japanese in WWII.

Bill Maher is a comedian. I think he is funny sometimes. But as a comedian is in business for the sake of humour, I will quote J K Galbraith: "Humor is richly rewarding to the person who employs it. It has some value in gaining and holding attention, but it has no persuasive value at all."
There is simply no question that overall Muslims are extraordinarily intolerant compared to other religions. So there is irony in our incompetent, moronic lesbian premier calling on us all to welcome more of them into Ontario.
The arguments of liberals on this issue makes me roll my eyes. Homosexuality is illegal in, as far as I know, every Muslim nation. In many of them the punishment is death, or long prison sentences they are unlikely to survive. But progressives simply cannot allow anyone who isn't white and Christian to be criticized for ANYTHING, so they'll root around for a few cases to fling out as if to say "ah ha! See how evil Christians are!" in order to defend the undefendable.
That's the weird disconnection you have when discussing issues like this with progressives. It's like trying to argue with a truther. No amount of evidence will convince them one group, one culture, one religion, and particularly not ours, is in any way superior or inferior. Want to rape children? Beat your wife? Kill Jews? Slaughter Gays? Don't worry, if you're not White the progressives will rush frantically to your defense.

So, your answer, to your perception of the majority of Muslims, is to be as intolerant towards them as they are towards you and yours. An eye for an eye kind of mentality. Ok, good to know.
If you did kill people for their sexuality (or for anything else) you would-be a murderer. Sharia is not in force here (and hopefully will never be) as it sanctifies murder in countries where it is in effect. Barbaric practices, indeed ..
I don't believe I suggested an 'answer'. But if you care to examine the numerous polls on Muslim attitudes you'll find the intolerance is there, very deep and very violent.
I was talking to a girl today about this, and she recalled when she was dating a Lebanese Canadian Muslim. He was born here, and not exactly super religious in that he drank, smoked pot, and had a blonde girlfriend. But as a joke once, when he talked about Jews she told him her grandmother was Jewish. She said his head nearly exploded, and if it hadn't been in public she was pretty sure he would have physically attacked her.
Muslims hate Jews. No, it's not universal, but it's pretty damned generalized. And Muslims hate Homosexuals. Again, not entirely universal, but you'll find vast numbers of Muslims in the world believe they should all be executed on sight. You can't honestly compare that to the more laid back and largely secular Christian societies.
How many Muslims want to see Sharia law implemented in their countries? In some nations, ie Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, it's over 90%
I stand squarely behind the available evidence, refusing to let my emotions get in the way of sound judgement.
