Poetic justice will be that a Mexican will take Flossy's job... We will see a slew of xenophobic posts at that point

I believe in meritocracy, not positive discrimination against illiterate Canadian nationals. I say give the job to the most qualified, but unfortunately the socialists among us believe we need to protect less efficient Canadians from more efficient foreign nationals.

I agree, however, I will also add that it is part of the Fed gvt's responsibility to look out after it's citizens and as such, preference given to Cdn citizens

I totally agree and believe that the best way to do so is to provide unemployed, underemployed, and underpaid Canadians with free literacy, trades, and professional education.

I totally dusagree. Shutting qualified foreign nationals out of the Canadian job market will not make unqualified Canadians Any More Qualified For The Same jib. All it accomplishes is a labour shortage in business and unemployment among the pipulation.

If you allow foreign Workers in, we fill Tte job shortage, increas the consumer base which can create new jobs, and increase the tax base to Oroville education funding for the unemployed who would not have been able to qualify for the job anyway.
