I have personal experience of the CBSA engaging in racial profiling and guilt by association. And of course reading stories of police criminality do make me wonder whom to trust. I will agree that the CBSA and maybe the police do need better independent oversight.
A friend of mine whom I rust had heard rumours from a source she trusts of rampant bribe-taking among Toronto police officers for example.
She'd also heard of a case of Ottawa Police stating that it seized much less money than it had actually seized.
Though these are rumours, they do become believable when we consider that CBSA and police officers have been charged with various crimes in the recent past.
hello, experience of profiling is different in rural areas.
a fewyears ago i noticed youth court was filled with all kinds of monetary crimes,i did some information auditing, comparing the cities with rural areas on youth crime particularly where youth crime generated money, simple things like j walking became my interest
.as i figured rural areas have higher revenue generated in youth court compared to urban geographic areas,of course i had to snoop some more, this of course led me to all kinds of avenues of what effects the administration of law.women in rural areas are at higher risk for profiling, this was fasinating to navigate what influences such actions.
attitudes of entitlemet to excersice profiling, predjustice and bias actions within the administratio of law comes through different means and methods of opportunity of influences, including lazy, willfull blindness, priority profiling, administration of management.
of course police practice bad behaviour,as in any employee sector, one of the questions i was interested in this bad behaviour is how management address's such "red flag" behaviours, this being said, this has been one of my biggest advocacies of how information is collected and interpreted by agenices of management in these regards of identification of assistance of recognition.
People could be alive today,if employers identified high risk behaviours or symptomatice detachements, usually detachments will become ill and dysfunctional as a whole when little issues are not addressed,we have many dysfunctional detachments which mentor young recruits into bad behaviour, they carry that behaviour with them
I think there has been a whole lot of back lash and division on how administration looks after their own,and of course with this type of attitudes comes a sense of entitlement which is wrapped up in recipical agreements.
i use to blame individual officers but in reality management which has a whole lot of poltical influences is to bame, don't blame the little guy.
could write forever about this subject,i am not sure i am atriculating correctly.
profiling is everywhere,it just comes in different packages with different influences, and i am glad it is open for discussion.
waiting for dawson creek identification if the Officer has previous issues which were not addressed, waiting patiently.
