Save a cow, eat a vegan.
Anyways, I see a lot of ifs, can bes, ands, maybes, etc. in that article and the one it links to: Gene increases cancer risk posed by processed meat - Telegraph
But, I do agree that factory-processed meats are a threat to health. I would make a bet that our home-cured hams or moose sausage are a different story.
And there are herbs that can help to counter-act cancer-causing agents. Herbs such as rosemary, for instance.
Those Brits seem to like fear-mongering.

I give them credit, they running out of things to complain about
I am a regular at smoked meat counters. Smokes, booze some
kids toys, furs, oil, plastic, what am I leaving out? Surely there
must be a list of things these people have compiled to complain
about.

Ran across the lyrics to an old Bobby Bare song
written by Shel Silverstein

Food Blues"
I was waitin' in Rosie's Restaurant
When the waiter came up and said what do you want
I looked at the menu and it looked so nice
Till he said lemme give you some advice.

He said spaghetti and potatoes got too much starch
Pork chops and sausage are bad for your heart
There's hormones in chicken and beef and veal
Bowl of ravioli is a dead man's meal.

Bread got preservatives there's nitrites in ham
Artificial coloring in jellies and jam
Stay away from donuts run away from pie
Pepperoni pizza is a sure way to die.

Sugar rots your teeth and makes you put on weight
But artificial sweetener's got cyclamates
Eggs got cholesterol, there's fat in cheese
Coffee ruins your kidneys and so does tea.

Fish got mercury, red meat is poison
Salt's gonna send your blood pressure risin'
Hot dogs and bologna got deadly red dyes
Vegetables and fruits are sprayed with pesticides.

So I said what can I eat that's gonna make me last
He said a small drink of water in a sterilized glass
And then he stopped and he thought for a minute
And said never mind the water, there's carcinogenics in it.

So I got up from the table and walked out in the street
Realizin' there was nothin' I could eat
I ain't eaten for a month and I'm feeling fine
'Cause he did not mention beer, whiskey, women and sweet red wine...

To quote John Russell , (played by the great Paul Newman), in the movie "Hombre", we all die, it's just a question of when. Not too many things on this earth more tasty, than a BLT sammich.:)

I could eat three

Walter so do I. He and Ray Stevens wrote enough funny stuff to have us laughing
for years.
Ray Stevens the longest song title in history remember it?

Jeremiah Peabody's Polyunsaturated Quick-Dissolving fast acting
Pleasant Tasting Green and Purple Pills

What a song like Food Blues it pointed out how absurd we are

Don't forget Roger Miller ("You can't roller skate in a buffalo herd, can't take a shower in a parakeet cage," etc.) and Jim Stafford,
"From the badlands came the killer
He lived by the knife and the gun
He'd cut ya just for standin'
Shoot ya if ya tried to run
He was as big aa a tree and did as he pleased
And everthing he did was bad
They said if ya was to kill him
You'd only make him mad
From the goodlands come the cowgirl
Patty was her name
She was hot on the trail of that killer
On a moped she called Flame
Cause the killer had killed her daddy
For spittin' in the road
And you only had to kill her daddy once
To get that gal po'd

[Chorus:]
Yippee yay a Cow Patty
Yippee yay a Cow Patty
She rode in to town to find the man who killed her daddy
Yippee yay a Cow Patty

Killer hit town at day break
Ate the door off the local saloon
He started to drink
You could tell ne was thinkin' they'll be a showdown soon
Patty hit town in a cloud of dust
Old Flame was buzzin' like a saw
And the whole town got as quiet as a church
When the killer stepped out for the draw
Forty shots rang out forty people fell
Patty and the killer missed each other
But they shot that town to hell

[Chorus:]

Killer took a step toward Patty
Said it's time I gunned you down
But he slipped in somethin' that was layin in the street
And was shot fore he hit the ground
Yes the killer slipped
And it cost him his life
And Patty said as she roared out of town
You gotta watch your step
When you know the chips are down"

WHO has it out for pork. Weren't they warning us about swine flu before? But is it the vegans? I don't think they have the political pull. It's the chicken lobby. They got the Colonel.

well I'm just a sawdust maker but for what it's worth, I think we all have the biological make up to have cancer cells grow. Maybe it just depends on how strong our immune system is. For some reason I'm thinking of native Americans not being able to fight off viruses brought over by the Europeans. Maybe there's a connection.

Hey, Jesus was a sawdust maker.

Billions of people owe there existence to smoked meat. How many owe their existence to vegans?

Approximately, 14

Pigs with access to unregistered ladders would be deadly... Maybe even worse if they were converted by ISIS
