Funny that even Donald Trump said that the only system that made sense was a Canadian type system, but with the entrenched insurance companies in the US, it was too late to do anything that logical.
It is apparently better than Obamacare. What a disaster Obamacare has turned out to be.
Obamacare gives the illusion of socialized medicine while still permitting the dogs of capitalism to view a nation's health care as a for profit venture.
As soon as the majority of Americans figure out that a nation's health care is vital to it's prosperity and security and should not be viewed as some capitalist venture where your health is bought an sold like a commodity, the US will finally have genuine socialized health care.

Obamacare, of course, is designed to reward the insurance companies, and guarantee them lots of customers.

In 2010 Canada's healthcare was ranked at #30. Although that is up from WHO's assessment of 39th pre-2000 and the same as WHO's assessment in 2000, it is still nothing like it was pre 1980.

Worked for a small furniture for almost 4 years. The boys had group health insurance and if you were a new employee you'd qualify after 90 days. Obama gets elected and boom,,,,no more insurance, Owners say they could not stay in business and comply. So, there was health insurance, then there was no health insurance. Exactly the opposite of what I thought would happen. So where was the benefit of his plane for us? There was none.
