Boy, the NDP are getting desperate or something. Over the last 2 weeks they have called my house 3 times. Once to talk to my wife, who wasn't the least bit interested. Just a couple of days ago we got robo-called by Ed Broadbent on behalf of our local NDP MP. And just now, another call from our local NDP office.

Kind of sad really.
I bet they didn't direct you to a phony polling station though.

They may as well for sure after Monday. Whining for the next four years won't do them a lick of good.

Good old Rob Ford.

Relegated to the hall of losers along with Hudak and Prentice.

Not so sure about that! He got his salary while on the job (and perhaps a perk or two) didn't he?

Certainly not shallow and certainly not voting for Harper and his crowd
Harper is going to a Tory gathering promoted by the Ford boys and one
a Narcotics abuser by self admission and we all know how the Tories
feel about drugs eh?

I wouldn't read too much into that. Public figures often get obligated to functions they'd rather not.

Grandmother Refuses to Apologize for Asking Harper What Tricks He Still Has Up His “Bum”

“Oh, it was actually poetic justice in action,” said Bonnett.
“Mr. Harper had just started smiling and saying ‘Friends’ in a loud voice when Elsie came roaring up from a table in the back…he froze, the cameras stopped, and Elsie let ‘er rip.”

“Elsie asked him who heck he thought he was and if he thought Canadians were stupid. She called him a fibber who doesn’t even knows when he’s fibbing. It was wonderful!”
“But the best moment…this is when everyone started to clap and hoot…was when Elsie asked Mr. Harper about his election tricks.”
“I can’t imitate it but she almost shouted, “Face it! You are losing! What sneaky political tricks are you going to pull out of your…….”
“And then Elsie just stopped. Everyone was waiting to see if she’d say “out of your ***”.”
“But after only a second or two, Elsie smiled and just quietly said “out of your bum” and then repeated the whole sentence — “What sneaky political tricks are you going to pull out of your bum, Mr. Prime Minister?”
“Best standing ovation I’ve ever seen…not everyone could stand of course but it was pretty wild in the old dining hall last night.”

Do elections bring out the childishness in people? :) :)
Granny shut down the PM's impromptu photo op. He wasn't invited, didn't ask if he could do it, interrupted their supper. Who was being childish and impudent? Harpo: He da Man. Read the whole article. It is quite hilarious. Love grannies. They don't take no sh!t from nobody.

I wasn't particularly thinking of only that situation. We don't know ALL the facts - perhaps "Granny" is going a little senile!
