Nah, Kate's not a sports fan at all.
Besides not being a fan of any sport...........Kate doesn't even have TV - like a few of my friends around here.
Wise woman!- I'd throw this one out, but the noise emanating from another source would be worse.

Does she have a computer? Some people watch everything they need on their computer.

Pardon my language.................but that just sucked. My eyeballs are about ready to fall out of my head and all for that? Geez
that game was way too long for me, glad I didn't actually sit and watch at any time.
cleaned dog yard, played with dogs, cleaned kitchen, vacuumed upstairs, had coffee and toast,
had a shower, did laundry and put it all away, and the game was still on.
I just listened while I worked, that works for me, stopped and had a look now and then.
nope they have dug themselves a big hole, have to win 3 in a row, not likely.
I must admit, in spite of the game, I had a very productive day too, talloola. Re-covered all my kitchen chair seats. Cleaned, vacuumed and dusted the living room, dining and kitchen. Got the dishes done and put away.............and I played with Rowan too. Then I decided, after the ball game, to splurge on some take-out food for dinner. Mind you, the take-out we get here is more akin to going to a neighbors for dinner. Two big juicy slices of home-cooked ham, a hefty portion of scalloped potatoes, a nice side of green beans and a lovely slice of pumpkin pie complete with whipped cream - all for the grand price of $12.95. Got home just in time to watch the Riders lose another game............such is life.
Yep. This team reminds me of teams in the late 1980s who were 'happy to get there' and not want to go the little extra to get the job done. Poor managing, poor pitching, poor defense, sucky offense. Hope they enjoyed there division party. They don't get another party for being losers.
Hope they turn it around but I fully expect them to be gone in 3.
And to top it all off, Brett Cecil is done for the year with torn left calf muscle.

Is there a "take out" establishment at Eagle Creek? No, you have to run into Forest Grove for that, right?
My friend Grace owns Canim Lake store and sells home-cooked meals on Friday and Saturday nights, JLM. Forest Grove does not do home-cooked meals as they don't have the required license - Grace does. The store is a 10 - 15 minute drive from my place - depending on how hungry I am.

It's looking more and more like we'll have to start cheering again next year, but hope springs eternal.
yep, not over till its over, but being realistic, they are toast, lol. matters to them, but not to me,
they have given me great enjoyment over the past while, won't forget that, and I will look forward to
next year, wonder if price will stay, I think not.
do you go to the deka lake area? we stayed there for many years to fish and enjoy. last time we
drove in there, (about fifteen years ago), it was so different, not like the small serene fishing area, with small log cabins, and
beautiful peace and quiet.that was back in the late 50s and 60s.
a fellow named 'Charlie womack' and his wife owned and ran it, they lived in California in the off season, guess he is long gone now,
big, loud, happy guy, we became good friends with he and his wife.
My memory is pretty hazy, but I don't recall a Canim Lake Store when I worked there in '68. I think at that time Forest Grove was the last metropolis before Hendrix Lake which was booming at the time due to the Molybdemon Mine. There was the "Cabbage Patch" at the head of the lake.

I think the issue will be he will want 8-10 years guaranteed and with a no trade clause. If he won't bend on the length of time, the Jays may not bite. If its just money, I think he will stay.
From what I am reading, it looks like they are panicking. Hearing lots of rumours of starting Price on 3 days rest in game 4. If they actually do that, then they are panicking.
A 3 game winning streak is not too much to overcome with a bit of luck and playing like they can. But no defensive errors, no everybody try to hit a HR and don't pitch scared. And don't do something you otherwise wouldn't have done like start Price on short rest. It is possible, but remains to be seen if this crew has that in them. I will say that if they do win this series, I have every faith they will win the World Series.
I'm not sure when the store was built, JLM but it was a long time before I arrived here and I've now been resident for just over 31 years. It is on the south side of Canim Lake accessed by a road just beyond the reserve that takes one all the way to Mahood Lake and beyond to Clearwater. I live on the North side of Canim Lake just off the 6000 Road which is the road that used to access the Boss Mt Mine - the moly mine you mentioned. Forest Grove has grown a lot over the years - much different than the tiny community it was when I first got here. The store was rebuilt after the old building burned down about 20 or so years ago and no way resembles what it used to look like.
If they win today can they have another champagne celebration?
O.K. - Not sure there was a road on the south side of the lake when I worked there. Our job was to do the surveying for road realignment from Forest Grove to Eagle Creek. The main thing I remember about Forest Grove was drinking beer in the Legion there on Saturday nights. We were living in 100 Mile at the time and there was some sort of Legion at 99 Mile, but we thought the one in Forest Grove was better. In later years we did drink at the one in 99, during hunting trips to Lone Butte.
