Australian David Hicks will serve his prison term at home in Australia, but the Pentagon says Canadian Omar Khadr can't expect similar deals, in part because Ottawa hasn't lobbied publicly on his behalf.

I consider him to be a terrorist. As such, he should lose his citizenship. I realize that won't happen, but that is my opinion on it.

again, he was born here. Citizenship is off the table. As to the "terrorist" label, by accepted definition, he was a child soldier. Therefore he was not, or at least, should not have been responsible for what he did. None of the African child soldiers have ever been held responsible for the atrocities that they participated in. As a matter of fact, those that were able to be "saved" were given counselling etc. Kahdr, "captured" at 15, incarcerated, tortured, and held for YEARS without charge.

I think we may have had this discussion a few years ago (when this first happened). Alas, I don't think we'll ever agree on it.

I also think that if someone is found to be a terrorist (I realize that he is not considered one now, but I disagree with that assessment) they should lose their citizenship. Will that ever happen? Who knows?
