The NDP’s Grande Prairie-Mackenzie constituency Facebook page became the latest social media flashpoint in the ongoing federal election Monday.

A post, published mid-day by Elroy Deimert, commended supporters for “standing up to ignorance, bigotry and distasteful personal comments” made by “some folks in the Peace.”

The NDP candidate in the riding is Saba Mossagizi, who was born in Edmonton to Ethiopian immigrants.

It continued to say that “some folks in the Peace will forever be trapped in the ignorance of their parents and grandparents ...insidiously directed by their parent-tapes” and “trapped by their environmental determinism.”

The post concluded by encouraging readers to speak up against ignorance and bigotry, saying “Folks have been afraid to speak up against ignorant rednecks for far too long up here.”

It was deleted by 3:30 p.m.

Dippers have never been interested in good governance. They are only interested in making everyone slave to their groupthink.

here in BC we have had a number of Conservative election signs destroyed. This is done by lefties that are terrified of people having a different opinion than them and shows how little respect they have for democracy.

In this case, have we determined that what he said wasn't actually true? Seems an odd way to campaign though. You usually want to try for everybody's vote to increase your chances of winning.

That's for later, in the general election.

Understand that Trump is currently running to be the nominee from the far-right Republican party in what we call the "primary election." If he wins, he'll face the nominee (probably Clinton) from the center-right Democratic party, in the "general election."

Nixon said it best. His strategy was "Run as far to the right as you can for the primary, then as fast to the center as you can for the general."

Worked for him. Twice.

Thankyou for the forward thinking Boomer. You have convinced me to vote conservative this time. We already know what this bunch of exagerating aholes are up to and one more term will give us the evidence needed to proceed with charges against internationalist governance. Selecting either of the other two parties/gangs would simply mean opening new investigations when there is a time constraint to address if we are to salvage the nation from these alien controlled elements known as the Canadian political class.

I should have been clearer I was responding to the OP not the subsequent derailment into another thread on Donald Trump.
