for me, it was more the chase in the boat that is the cruelst thing, the guy jumping on the moose is
just plain stupid, he obviously had no idea of his own danger, too bad the moose didn't show him just
how dangerous it was.

And then there's the potential of costs of $thousands to the taxpayers and jeopardy others have to put their lives at for a search, rescue/recovery.........................actually a thought comes to mind....................fine them $50,000 to be put in the bank to cover the costs when the next idiot who tries something similar that "goes south".

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy, when skys are gray,,you'll never know dear how much I wuv you, pweeze don't take my sunshine away. ~Bullwinkle singing to Bullwinklette.

A big ole narly moose with a smelly butt needs to barge into one of these "good ole boys" invironment and sit down at the dinner table uninvited, and have some fun eatin up the grub,,,and farting while he's a doin it.

There's an area between Horseshoe Lake and Bartlett Lake on the Verde river in central Arizona. The area is well known as a natural habitat for the American Bald Eagle. Fvck with these animals habitat or harm them in any way and see what happens if you're caught. Nature and wild animals have been here long before us and we need to leave them the Fvck alone. They are not the invaders. We are. It is their home . We are the guests. We should act like it. JMO. Now,,,before you throw out your tantrum let me make a down payment on,,,,,,No,,,,you are.

What happened to you this past year? Did you drink the koolaid so to speak?

No, I just don't like animal abuse and people need to leave wild animals alone. Period. (Unless hunting for food)

The shock alone can do damage to a wild animal and even kill it.

Some azzclown jumping on a wild animal, does not have balls, or the brains God gave them.

I know that some people break horses in the water, but you are domesticating the animal and it has been condition to people before you break the horse.

People are generally idiots when it comes to wild animals, bears or whatever. They tend to get to close and making a wild animal used to people, well it's always the animal that pays, and usually with it's life.

So now you are using arguments you disagree with to prove your point?

OK, that's logical.

If everyone in NA ate beef for 100% of their calories approximately 190 million cattle would die each year. If people ate an exclusively vegan diet the current 500 million animals that die each year to support that would jump to approx 2 billion. I spent a few months in Hawaii this winter and learned that the ecosystem was principally destroyed by the predatory cats and dogs people keep as pets.

My point is that a moose is no different than any other billion or so mammals we farm, hunt, test, wear, ride or kill as pests or collateral damage to our farming and environmental stewardship and to spend 10s of thousands......maybe 100s of thousands to find, prosecute and push this through the judiciary is a tremendous waste of resources.

Lots of people boasting how were supposed to be so humane and all but I don't see the logic in spending money prosecuting this guy for scarring a 900lb moose while some homeless guy kills himself with drugs because he can't get the help he needs.

I stand by my comment that he was brave and the rest of you in the classic internet frenzy of bellyaching and siut shaming are a bunch of hypocrites. At least I own up to humanities shortcomings

I will never feel sorry for any drug addict who was so weak and stupid to take them to start, then whine
and complain because others can't or won't help him/her, give me a break, a moose or any other animal
is much smarter than that.
there are many incidents concerning wild animals that are sad stories, we just happen to be talking about
one in particular, and throwing in everything else, (and drug addicts to boot)isn't any reason to
decide that this particular incident doesn't matter, it does.

By no aspect of the definition was that guy brave, to begin with he was too stupid to be brave, a brave person does something knowing the risks in order to improve a situation or bring about a positive outcome for someone, like save a life or reduce injury or damage- this twit accomplished nothing positive, just put an animal at discomfort, fear and risk and drew attention to the idiot he actually is. Just a totally brainless twit!

I gotta say, calling this guy brave is kind of an insult to actual brave people. Brave implies an admiration and sort of a nobility of purpose, neither of which seem to fit this dude. A firefighter running into a burning building to save people is brave, a guy chasing a moose around in a lake on a boat for sh!ts and giggles is just stupid. And pointless.

Having said that, do I think he should be number one on the Most Wanted list? Hell no, far, far bigger fish to fry. But I also think there is a sensible purpose behind imposing steep fines and penalties on people messing around with wild animals. If you mess around with wild animals, you run the risk of someone getting hurt. That's reckless. Even harm to the animal, for the purpose of what again? Sh!ts and giggles. Again, it's stupid and we behave (or should behave) humanely towards an animal, not because they're the equivalent of human, but because we are human. I know not everybody does behave that way, but they should. And let's be honest, many of our laws are really only necessary so that we (society) can stop stupid people from doing stupid things.

Someone want to go after a moose? Great, go get a gun, a hunting license or whatever it is you need, and let's have us some moose burgers, cuz they are damn tasty! But if all someone wants to do is chase a moose until it runs (or swims) it's way into cardiac arrest or drowning or whatever, then they need to find something else to occupy their time. Perhaps bright, shiny objects will distract them, lol.

I think the stupidity, meanness and lack of necessity of the act and what constitutes bravery has been adequately explained to this guy and I can only deduce that we have another twit here much like the one who rode the moose. They walk among us!

Ya, the articulated lorry that brings shipments to Sturgeon Lake Indian Reserve weekly. Interesting people and magnificent country.

Truck = Tractor Trailer T-Bones.. so you should quit clowning around..

Oh, you mean an articulated lorry.

Please tell me that the sh1t will not be started again today. Actually, don't tell me just don't start (or reply to) any.

I have high hopes to have a peaceful weekend. Go to your respective corners, count to ten, turn off your computer and take a walk in the sunshine, whatever it takes. Remember, no one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to reply to anybody. Tired of the sh1t? Then don't fling any.

Are we all on the same page?
