Lately Evan has been asking difficult questions, one cannot help to think if these tough questions encouraged his demise.

I think he is one of the best journalists I have encountered.

There are good journalists in every news organization. He has been one of many. Violating the CBC's code of conduct doesn't discount the knowledge and skill he has demonstrated over the years.

Unfortunately the primary measure of skill, in the eyes of some, is based on the narrow view of who writes their paycheques.

But doesn't the person who writes the pay cheque have the right to decide on the job description?

Lately Evan has been asking difficult questions, one cannot help to think if these tough questions encouraged his demise.

I think he is one of the best journalists I have encountered.

Journalist or Interrogator? I much prefer Rex Murphy or Hannah Thibideau!

I'm not a big fan of Ezra Levant but I've seen him do some great interviews. I might not like the guy but he can do a damn good interview. Check out the one he did with Noam Chomsky. Rex is great at what he does. Evan was very good at what he did. There are plenty of good journalists and interviewers.

I even like Bill O'Reilly. I know he's biased, he certainly admits that himself, but he allows other viewpoints to be heard, and will give the opposite viewpoint the last word. It's the circle jerkers who make everything a pissing contest that they have to win that drive me crazy.

I wonder if it's better to be a Senator or CBC Exec............?

Nine of the eleven current members of the Conservative Broadcasting Corporation Board of Directors - have been appointed by Prime Minister Harper - are or have been financial contributors to the Conservative Party of Canada.

Better by far to be a senator. Those bastards continue to collect for years after any accusations and then at the end of it all there's still the pension.

I would counter that this firing directly relates to Ghomeshi.
I like this subtle thinking, things indeed seem a little fishy.
then again, I think Rosie is pissed, this relating to and I strongly believe the sum of this ordeal relates to hard questions being asked by Evan, then again what do I know?
subtle thinking is sometimes good.
I miss Evan, but I think Rosie is doing a great job in his short absence,I hope.

Do you think Rosie is presenting as having some underlying principles to be exercised in the name of ethical reporting, does she seem a little pissed these days?

I don't know, wasn't acquainted with her before Evan left. She's likely treading softly.

I think Rosie seems pissed, and maybe a little conflicted also, then again maybe this is my romantic Liberal thinking.
If she is on this week,I will watch,
this is where the conflict may be for Rosie, and what a conflict it must be,all the rumours, etc, you think she is treading softly?
It would be extremely conflicting as a journalist to tread softly if there is an injustice to Evan in regards to poltical interference,...saying this JLM do you think there is more to this story, possibly I am in a state of blackness and darkness on this issue, and need more information.
I have always been fond of Rosie,as a matter of fact she is on my to write list,
i hope Evan sues CBC.

Most of my thoughts are just general impressions (I've been told I'm a fairly good judge of character, but I've been wrong and at times a little hard on people) . Some people I find fairly easy to read like Amanda Lang and Hannah Thibedeau- what you see is what you get, Evan is a little tougher, there's a bit of a façade. I'll have to pay attention to Rosemary. Politicians are a little harder, so I generally categorize them as full of sh*t. :) :)

Rosie is absent so far this week, dam!
I think I am the opposite in some ways, for meEvan seems to be a book on his journalism abilities,I could always hear where he was going, and of course sometimes I would hope for a trap to be triggered with the end results, and in most instances I was able to read where Evan was going with his presentation,Evan had great traps.
Rosie has matured in the past few years,I imagine journalism is dependent on mentoring like most professions.People's/journalist's voices havea big impact on what I will listen to,I am voice sensitive, voice is huge for me.
all you have to know about politicians is the party they belong to,as I call them "political policies"followers,
once you know this,
then you can identify their programming......i.e. thought process's.
Becomong familiar with the indoctrination of response and thought of the poltical party gives the assessor big views and insight.
I know lots of "nice"politicians, ineffective nice politicians, who have sold their souls to party policy, should we hold these pathetic souls to accountability?
I view them as pathetic souls, lost misguided and were probably picked on in grade school, this is how I see politicians in general.

Yep most of them can be nice in that they can tell you what you want to hear and make all kinds of promises. A person with some character and substance will tell you up front that they can only do what circumstances and situations dictate and what there is money available to accomplish. The best they can do while campaigning is tell you what they will TRY to do. Anything beyond that is BULL SH*T.
