I'm not complaining but these are not our normal temperatures.
don't know what your normal temps are but this morning when I went walking at 6:15 AM I wore lined winter walking pants, a t-shirt, two hoodies one with the hood up and a pair of leather gloves....an hour later it was warm enough to drop the hood and remove the gloves...and I don't dawdle when I walk

I don't see a big difference in temps? Waves on 100 Mile Beach would be a better indication of change would it not. It should have warmer winds from the south and slightly warmer water coming down from Alaska.
Nanaimo, British Columbia - Monthly Calendar - The Weather Network

The sun has nothing to do with warmer water in the deeper parts of the ocean, especially off the west coast of Canada. Do you have some data that shows global warning was caused by the sun during the time the Siberian Traps were ejecting millions of tons of magma?

Kinda hot here but it is the desert. 105 yesterday, Wonderful time of the year. Could be worse could live in the Mohave desert where it gets over 125 degrees in the summer at times. Hate the desert always have.

By all reports in the start of a cooling trend for North America the 'average' is brought down by the cold in the north and eastern parts. If BC and lower Alaska start to get winds like Scotland does then the climate will become more tike California in the years she got enough rain to not be under drought conditions like Baja.

Seems North America might be in for a cyclical cooling period. It's cold weather.. not hot that brings on turbulent weather. Another knock on the fraud of AGW.. now desperately trying the lose the 'Global Warming' label so they can appropriate all 'Climate Change' to their cause.

Get an education... the sun very much affects the earth.

The sun has a solar flares or if the sun has a sun spot it affects the earth..

What are some of the effects of solar flares on Earth?

But you're probably one of these religious idiots that think the earth is only 6000 years old..

"Cooling trend"? It's 17 degrees and raining. That's probably the most normal weather possible for the West Coast. Maybe if it were January that would be odd, but it's June.

Being curious I just took a peek at Waterloo weather conditions and noticed you did drop to 5C at 6 A.M. I'd be wearing gloves too! :)

Pissing rain and 15C here at noon. We can sure use the rain- I'd guess we've had close to 1/2" already today.

yes it was seriously chilly, when it is this cool, it means I jog in little sprints and trust me, I am NOT a runner

a couple of the regular dogs I meet had their little jackets on

Ice ages vary in length from a few 1,000 years to almost 1 million years. The African Rift is spreading is it not? Yes it is and the water in pools at the bottom tends to be 'quite warm' and that is heat being released into the atmosphere, put that rift under the ocean and the heat being released is the same but it becomes invisible to the naked eye. The 40 miles if oceanic rifts have created all the current oceans we have today in the last 200M years. (300 M sq km is about 1.5 sq km /1 year but not all years were 'average'. The series that is from is pretty decent as far as the data, the root cause might be closer to this series and the heat is admits is rising all the time

If you add in the Yellowstone one and go back in time that same hot spot migrated from close to the Great Lakes to where it is now and has been for that last 3 events. Compare that to the border between BC and AB and now that same rift is offshore in the Pacific about 600 miles. If hot magma flows under the rockies it will cool off fast and that would make it sink to the core faster than long ago when it had a thin crust above it. That down flow would create a vacuum under Yellowstone and the two magma chambers would be sucked dry of liquids and the empty caves would be too weak to hold the crust up and it would fall in and it would be a rock dust cloud that would blanket the land near and far away.
When I said near the Great Lakes I was actually promoting that those locations are the first sinkholes caused by cool magma. If the down flow is slower than the up flow then the earth grows in circumference over time.
The not so silver cloud is expansion is a lot gentler on people that when the sinkholes start to outnumber the volcanoes as flat land will become vertical land and the depth of the crust will now be the flat land in the form of a bute 100km wide and 1,000km long. Plump Eden becomes raisin Eden.

Snow in Calgary.
The topic is abnormal weather, that is normal unless there is snow on the ground for the whole month. Wet snow on green treed is a strength builder. Good reason for underground utilities as well.
