Having Walmart ship requires a credit card which is something northerners early had un8tl the advent of the visa/mastercard debit cards. It's a lot cheaper to live up north than ever.

We're goin. Gotta get there afore the big pike are fished out. But they have to drop the price of beer. Jesus.!!

The guitar player makes a difference in the sound too....
Notice the first picker the way he does it.....never puts his fingers on the guard on top of the guitar because it dulls the sound......and yes that guitar is a Martin.

I've seen him try out some Blueridges and the sound that comes out when he's picking is fantastic....but he's hooked on Martins and he uses tortoise shell pics of a guage that makes his guitar sound best.........

Right on Das. Ya gotta work at it.

Make your own beer and the big pike are still super abundant, even pickerel are still found in record size. Trashing the environment has done nothing but good things for pickerel.

Nothing can replace the sound of a well aged, cared for and played hard guitar but for day to day playing it's worth getting a well made replica.

My wife bought me an old Beaver for Christmas like I had as a teen just getting into delta and mountain music. It was like like reuniting with a long lost friend.

Still able to get rosewood fretboards, bridges, etc. Small parts. Could be the answer. Lot of mandolin makers have
switched to maple fretboards.

Actually, ebony boards and bridges surpass both in quality. Still available but the price is going up.
There are many variances of rosewood. I believe Brazilian rosewood is the sanctioned variety.

I do miss the little cabinet shop I built out in the Ozarks years ago. I made it to look like a little red barn. Nowadays most woodworking machinery is computerized and you simply cannot compete time wise with that. Still I have good memories of making wood furniture by hand.

I hear that. That's the difference between the realities of doing something for a living or the pleasure of doing it for the love of the craft. It is such a treat when you can do both at once but it is rare.
