A man shot up a federal courthouse and a Mexican consulate -- which he also seemingly tried to set ablaze -- in Austin, Texas, early Friday before being shot dead outside police headquarters, that city's police chief said. The shooter fired "over 100 rounds" in a roughly 10-minute span, but he did not hit anyone even though the bullets ricocheted at a typically busy time in downtown Austin, when streets fill with people after bars close for the night.
"This Thanksgiving ... weekend, I give thanks that no one but the suspect is injured or deceased," police Chief Art Acevedo said. "That's something that we should all take a lot of comfort in."

A Las Vegas couple who shot to death two police officers, a civilian and themselves delivered an ominous message before they left home with a shopping cart of weapons to carry out the anti-government ambush, a neighbor said.
"We gotta do what we gotta do," Jerad Miller told Kelly Fielder, adding that he and his wife, Amanda, were departing for an "underground world."
Amanda Miller then embraced the neighbor and said, "I am so sorry."
Authorities said they believe the Millers were acting alone but they espoused an "anti-government, anti-police" ideology with militia and white supremacist overtones.

Suspected cop killer may be hunting his hunters
BLOOMING GROVE, Pa. -- There was a killer on the loose Wednesday night, and the police say he is Eric Frein, who is charged with ambushing two Pennsylvania state troopers last Friday night, shooting them with a rifle.
One was killed. The other remains in critical condition.
The police describe Frein as a self-trained survivalist with a grudge against law enforcement who has talked about committing mass murder.
Hundreds of officers are looking for him in a heavily wooded area of Pennsylvania. Searchers have to make their way through rugged terrain with thick underbrush and hills.

The 73-year-old man charged with murder in the shooting at a Jewish community center and retirement community in Overland Park, Kansas, that left three people dead is reportedly the former Grand Dragon of the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.
Fraiser Glenn Cross Jr., of Aurora, Mo., was taken into custody in the parking lot of an elementary school near the scene of the shootings, and was booked on a charge of first degree murder, according to the Johnson County, Kansas, Sheriff's Office.
Cross is an alias for Frasier Glenn Miller, the former KKK leader, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The man accused of shooting an NYPD officer in the head Saturday was arraigned Sunday, but did not enter a plea.
Demetrius Blackwell, 35, was ordered to be held without bail. He is charged with two counts of attempted murder, assault and weapons offenses, WCBS 880’s Jim Smith reported.
Officer Brian Moore, 25, was recovering from surgery Sunday. He is in critical but stable condition at Jamaica Hospital, CBS2’s Ilana Gold reported.

New York (CNN) -- Officer Rafael Ramos sat in the driver's seat. Officer Wenjian Liu was at his side.
The two cops weren't at their usual precinct -- normally, the pair was assigned to downtown Brooklyn, but they were working a "critical response" detail in an area with higher crime, police said.
That's where they were slain, ambush-style -- Saturday afternoon as they sat in their patrol car, New York Police Commissioner William Bratton said at an evening news conference.
The gunman approached the passenger side of the patrol car and took a shooting stance, witnesses told police. He opened fire several times, striking both officers in the head, Bratton said.
They were "shot and killed with no warning, no provocation," Bratton told reporters. "They were quite simply, assassinated."

Your definition of terrorism is very loose. I would consider these criminal acts, not terrorism.
Terrorism: the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.
Islam's political aims is to take over the world.. and instill Sharia Law.
I will admit these Criminal Acts you highlighted are grievous in nature, I don't see the connection to a political nature where a group like ISIS, The KKK, IRA took credit for the act to further their political agenda.
We have one. It is the current US government that has chosen to blindly follow a bunch of liars with an agenda at great risk to the economy.
