As I've stated before, Wall Street is the exception - those head honchos and their ilk should all be in jail where they belong!! But to categorically state that ALL businesses/corps are greedy like that is simply wrong.

JMHO
They are in the U.S. The law is explicit: it is the purpose of a for-profit corporation to increase the value to the shareholders. Any director who fails to do so can be held liable in what is called a "shareholders' derivative suit."

Who knew that the 15 companies listed represented every corp entity in the US since 1970

Learn sumptin new every day I guess
Usually something wrong, in your case.

For example, you have "learned" today that fifteen bailouts must mean fifteen companies. Well, I guess that would make sense if you think that "Airline Industry" is one company. Or if you think that "Savings & Loan" is one company. Or if you think that "Auto Industry" is one company, despite the fact that the paragraph says it's three companies. Or, of course, if you think that the TARP only covered one bank.

I simply found it interesting that the uber-overgeneralization was so ineffectively represented by the handful of companies over this 45 year period.

More interesting was the inclusion of NYC, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and AIG... Add to this the banking system that is apparently under the scrutiny of the Feds and we seem to see an interesting trend here.

PS - I notice that Solyndra didn't receive Honorable Mention.

I might ask the same of you after reading your earlier contribution

Which ones are private?

The math changes pretty drastically when one accounts for this
