they hAve been the best team in the west for a couple of months, tonight winnipeg were just not going to
be denied, so i see minnesota winning those games, at least 2 of them, maybe all 3.

I have a feeling Minnesota could be a bigger threat than L.A. Anyway, Canucks appear to be on top of their game recently & I think the two goal tenders bodes well for them. They probably won't win the cup but I think they will do well in the playoffs!

I see the final games are against a couple of the worst teams in the league! The question is, will they be the worst teams when they play the Canucks? LOL

Rangers win President's Trophy for getting the most points this season. This is coach Vigneault's third such trophy.

I hope this will give the Blues the type of momentum they need for playoffs and Stanley Cup success.

good for them, vineault's 3rd presidents'cup trophy i think, as he must have had 2 with canucks.

They may face the same opponents (unsuccessfully) that they came up against when they won the Cup in '94. :) :) :)

Yep they won it two years in a row, perhaps 2010 and 2011.

l.a. are struggling trying to beat edmonton right now, edmonton has a lot of pride, was trounced by l.a.
last week, And they would love to be a part of keeping l.a. out of the playoffs, hope they do just that.

Yep, I saw that much to my glee. I'll be checking it regularly until the game's over.

ok, its over, edmonton won the game 4-2. have no idea why l.a. would play their back up goalie, he

didn't look great, but so did edmonton play their backup, so that evens that out.

edmonton showed l.a. how good they can be at home, where they play much better than away.

l.a. are in deep doo doo now. boo hoo

yes, the announcer is right, the canadian teams should bow and scrape to edmonton
tonight, they did their canadian brothers a big favour.

l.a. seemed to think that edmonton would just roll over, that is the kiss of
death, to expect Any team to just lose without any fight back.

canucks must remember that as well when they play arizona and edmonton.

cAnucks are now 'officially' in the playoffs. yippee, for willie desjardin.

minnesota defeated chicago tonight 2-1, great game, but the game of the night for me was winnipeg
defeating st. louis, what a game, they are both very big teams and very physical and rough, and
that definitely was the case, but jets did it, played their hearts out, as they have done all year, they want to give their fans a playoff round, and right now it is looking promising.

it would be nice if canucks win both remaining games to bring their total to over 100 points.

So is that "it" for the Kings now? Wouldn't hurt my feelings!

no thats not 'it', kings play flames in calgary on thursday, huge game, if flames win, kings are out,
but if kings win, then its on to their next games, kings at home to san jose and flames off to
winnipeg, and that scenario doesn't look good to me, so flames better do it on thursday and
send kings golfing.

Boston lost to Washington tonight and are still tied with Ottawa. Both with 2 games remaining but Boston has the tie breaker. Pittsburgh is just one point ahead. Ottawa needs to beat the Rangers at MSG Thursday. Now that NY has sewn up the President's Trophy maybe they'll lose some intensity. Boston will be playing in Florida. Meanwhile LA will be in Calgary. Huge game for both.

yes, there is still only 4 teams in the east who have clinched playoffs.

i would advise calgary to win tomorrow night, otherwise l.a. might wake up, and we don't want them to do that.

the end of the regular season this year is quite amazing indeed. i have been feeling very tense with

canucks last few games, now i am happy, would like them to win out, but not the end of the world.

when they do play in the playoffs, i'm going to sit back and just enjoy the games, whatever happens,

i don't expect them to go far, but the way they have finished, they are peaking somewhat, the twins

are playing much better now, and they need them to do that, or they will slide a bit again, and be

that up and down team like they were during the season, not sure if daniel and henrik can do that,

we'll see, it will be fun.

Rangers wimped out vs Ottawa 3-0

true they had some injuries but more likely were just resting some of their veteran players before the playoffs begin

hopefully they will be well rested and will have the proper competitive fire

obviously you haven't been following the ottawa senators, who have been on fire for sometime,
and i thought the rangers played hard tonight, but ottawa played harder, they are on a mission,
and its nice that boston lost, gives the senators a chance now to be in the playoffs, if everything
finishes off well for them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
well, winnipeg are 'in', made the one point they needed, even though they lost in the shoot out,
game was 0-0 end of regulation.

and yipty doo, the flames did it, and good for them, they defeated the l.a. kings 3-1, and the kings
are finished for the season.

canucks should go on to win this game against arizona, so they need one point against edmonton to
guarantee home ice advantage in first round of playoffs. final score 5-0 for canucks.

i wonder if miller will play in the next game.

st. louis won the central division

st. louis def. chicago 2-1

minn. def. nashville - 4-2

san jose def. edmonton - 3-1

just an eastern stat. ottawa def. rangers, and boston lost, so the senators just
keep rollin along.

Probably the best Canuck game of the year! If they just play 16 more like that one in the playoffs, then "Bob's your uncle"!

good one jlm, i think the calgary flames will have something to say about that.
yeah, it was a good game for canucks, not the emotional intense game they had against l.a., but they
played well, did themselves a big favour, now the one point to get home ice Advantage.

canucks and flames are so similar in strength this season, neither team were
expected to do much, and they both played well, both made the playoffs.
two very good coaches, very good goaltending, should be a very even series,
may go 7 games.

i'm going to enjoy it, i'm just going to have fun watching playoffs, i'm not
going to get very involved at all, i'm satisfied allready, what they do now
is gravy, but i wish them luck, hope they do well.

I only follow the NYC Metro teams and do not know how many season long points the other teams have

tonight, the Isles over Pitt 3-1

played a solid all round game and hope this will mean a spot in the playoffs for them

i am hoping so much for tavares to win the scoring title, nothing against crosby and benn, but
my choice is tavares, they both got a point playing against each other tonight, so now the
two of them are tied at the top. one more game to settle it.

Maybe you should start watching the Canucks if you want to start watching a winning team. :) :)

Hope so- Eddie probably needs and deserves a rest plus Miller should get back in form in case he's needed on short notice.

Pittsburgh's in, Boston is on their way to the golf course! :) :) :) :)

Something is screwy with the matchups. I thought Calgary would be playing Anaheim......................No?
