Wow, 11hrs later and you're still butthurt.

You really should get a life, dude.

the lad is quite fixated...obsessed with those that get his goat...he can't help himself...compulsive even...cannot resist...it's very unhealthy.

but the funny part is he's dwelling on this place and his betters, counting the minutes until he can get back online and try and 'show us'. the jocularity is delicious.

the sad part being the family members and co-workers that have to tolerate his unstable behavior...perhaps he needs an intervention after all.

You're assuming he has family and co-workers.

Wow!! You really are upset. I didn't realize a news channel could mean that much to some people. I only hope you don't fall into depression. That would not be good.

You should tell us how awesome your life is, that always cheers you up.

They are all family at the group home.
Nah, most group home have internet access all year round. Cannuck loses the ability to post when the local high school shuts down his internet access for the summer.

You know better than that.

There is no free market in Canadian Brioadcasting.

Not much of one, but Sun News was in it and it failed. It tried to get into the unfree market but couldn't. It had to play by its own rules and in the free market of ideas their ideas aren't selling. Don't start pretending like the big bad state brought Sun down. It didn't. Millions of Canadians had access to it in their cable packages and only a few thousand chose to watch it. It failed because it was a terrible product.

Sooner or later the folks that like Faux and Sun are either going to die off or they will have to come to the realization that people aren't going to buy what they're selling. This country has done quite nicely without social conservatives holding power. Now that they have for a few years, it pretty plain to see we're on the wrong track.

One reason it failed is because most Canadian news sources are included in the "Basic" television package that most cable and satelite providers ... see Express-Vu basic line-up
The Good programming package from Bell TV
But they wouldn't put Sun News into their basic package so it was only available to those who paid extra for the news package.

And not being on the basic cable line-up they could not secure advertising .
The Canadian government did not even provide any . And we see GoC advertising in all main stream media .

According to the social conservatives, news services like Faux beat the crap out of the other news services for ratings. Makes you wonder why fans of this type of caterwauling weren't lining up to get their dose of Faux lite. Perhaps the fans of Sun just weren't willing to put their money where their mouths are. I know I'm more than willing to pay for channels I want. It would seem there just wasn't enough Canadians who found this stuff desirable. I can't say I'm surprised. Two minutes of Levant once and i started feeling queezy.

Sun News Network ratings were... awesome!!! (per wiki):
After that first night, however, first-week viewership fell considerably, with the network attracting 12,000 viewers on April 20, only 1,000 of them within the advertiser-desired 25-54 age demographic. Viewership numbers have varied since then; on April 22 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, 11,000 viewers watched Sun News, well behind CBC News Network's number for that hour (263,000) and even behind U.S. import CNN (38,000).

On April 18, 2012, one year after Sun News' launch, a BBM Canada ratings report revealed that during a 24-hour period from 2:00 a.m. the current day to 2:00 a.m. Eastern Time the next day between August 31, 2011 and March 31, 2012, Sun News came in fourth place among English language news channels in Canada, bringing in only 0.1% of viewers, a fraction of the rating for CBC News Network (1.4%), CNN (0.9%) and the CTV News Network (0.8%). Requests for Sun News to comment or elaborate on the ratings have been declined.[138] According to documents filed by Sun News Network with the CRTC in 2013, the channel has a viewership of 16,400 in an average minute.[46]

With only 1000 being under the age of 55. Great business model I must say. Focus on a dying demographic. Is it any wonder the social conservatives believe Harper is doing a great job? Their lack of understanding when it comes to economic issues is rather telling.
