Back when he wasn't angry at me and willing to go to a Pats/Tigers game, he was quite open about his situation. Even now (post 21) he admits to being given the homestead and three sections. I don't begrudge the guy. I just find it amusing that a guy that has had everything he would need handed to him, would be critical of other peoples work ethic. I mean really...ask yourself. Does Dubya or Justin have any credibility if and when they talk about their own work ethic and making their way in the world?
Not quite. 3 Sections get split 1.5 for my kid and the other to the nephew. My 4 sections are my 4 sections along with $850K in equipment and storage which will also go to my kid eventually who is going to set up her veterinary practice on her piece.

if you want an interesting read, have a look at Who Rules America. Written by a prof at uni of cal. Its certainly interesting. One of the things it addresses is these so called think tanks. How they are used to influence policy - populated by reps of special interest groups. In any event, I remember reading an article from a dink tank outta toronto, can't remember the article, but in the article, they referenced other studies to support their particular findings, in effect to lend some credibility to their position. The trouble was, when you got down to the reference notes, it was others in the same outfit who conducted the supporting "independent" studies. Kind of a, hey but just don't don't believe us, believe us, but if you don't believe us, well here's another study we did, so believe us. In any event, who rules america is - whether you buy everything this fella is selling - is an interesting read.

My kids will do quite nicely. Of course everything I give them, I earned myself. I'd be embarrassed to criticize others for a lack of work ethic while being given so much.
