Russell Brand is not a fan of mass media. He is very much about thinking for yourself. He's a comedian by trade.

Well I guess I can get on board with the idea of waiting to get all the right info before yelling terrorist. I also agree with the comparison to Moncton where we did not call that incident terrorism even though the public's initial reaction after both incidents were relatively similar.
Where I might differ in opinion is the way he frames the intensity of the ideological argument.
I think people, and the mainstream media, are a little bit smarter now.
We won't fall for islamaphobia as much as we did before because Iraq taught us that lesson quite clearly. The other point is that there is enough healthy debate about civil liberties that I think we will not be put in some severely restricted situation when it comes to rights or privacy.

The only people who like Russell Brand are a few Lefty Luvvies at the BBC, The Graunaid, The New Statesman, Islington dinner parties and LibDem conferences. Most ordinary people, however, detest his Left Wing, anarchist politics; his disgusting behaviour in the Sachsgate scandal; and just being a complete and utter Left Wing prat. Many people on here will probably love him.
