Islam can't adapt to modernity as imposed by Western values. Islam seeks to avoid cultural subjugation by the West and domination by Muslim leaders who serve the West.

To fight a religious/political ideology it is necessary to have one's own religious/political ideology. The West has no religious ideology and it's existing political ideology isn't germane to the Ummah. So maybe the West should develop its own religious/political ideology for this conflict, and abandon political correctness.

Camps aren't needed for the fuzzy wuzzies. Use pattern analysis and predictive analysis software to determine who to cull from our streets.

The West can never return to the status quo ante. This war will irrevocably change it.

The other alternatives would be the adopt the Chinese approach, harsh as it may be, or to surrender.
