What I sadi was that CRA has stated that there is no political interference in their choice of charities audited, but they are unable to verify this statement. All of a sudden you're off about consipracy theories/
I'm of the general impression that government information should be public available unless there is an overwhelming reason why it should not be. I can't see much harm in providing a list of charities audited--there's not much privacy issue there at all, especially since my taxes subsidize their charity.
Even better, strip all these public policy advocacy centres of their charitbale status. If you're a charity then heal the sick, comfort the affliced, house the homeless and feed the hungry. Think tanks are not, and should not be considered to be, charities.
