Mine has a sorting period that is somewhere ahead in time. Here is the reference, 'holy' is knowing about repenting rather than never having done something that has to be repented.

Revelations? I read a book were this guy, a Christian knight name Dante totally kicked Lucifers ass in the UFC 9th Circle of Hell #666 and set all the souls in purgatory free and paved the way for the rest of us. It'll be a no brainer for Jesus when he comes back.

Actually there is a better way. The Jews can stop denying they lost the debate. Trying to protect their scriptures and defending against its misinterpretation have produced very little converts. All roads from the OT points to Jesus. The verses, illustrations, profiles etc all fit Jesus quite well. The OT does validate the NT.

But the Jews can start investigating the accuracy of the OT. Did the exodus actually happen? There is no historical, archeological evidence to support the story. In fact archeological expeditions that have been ongoing for over a century have not produce a single shred of evidence and future expeditions have all been terminated.

Maybe a second look at the great Noah's flood might be another good starting point. All studies point to the flood as a local event.

Only the Jews can find it in them to explain why they created all these outrageous stories and passed it off as God's personal involvement in their past. By doing the unraveling of their own theological theatre , it will also help to expose the weak foundation on which Christianity was built.

Or the Jews should except their mistake and reconcile their differences.

Yep.

Why wouldn't an all powerful being make it's creation the way it wanted it from the start?

Wasting ones only life in the hopes of another better after life seems...short sighted.

Thinking some supreme being, with the power to create a universe would wait for you to pray and worship it seems...egotistical and a form of self aggrandizing with no merrit.

Why would it hide away, only to show it self on toast?

It all reads like man invented a powerful creature he can pretend to control through special actions, to make itself feel better about it's absolute lack of control in a dangerous world thousands of years ago

This is by no means an isolated incident. I have traveled extensively across Canada, the US and much of the Globe and no matter where I went, you could find those of such faith, as to preach you perpetual pain in hell, all because you don't embrace Christ as they do. Rest assured though, wayward Christians certainly don't have a lock on that type of thinking.

All this only fed my hate and justified my contempt. I eventually sought out Christians to exact my revenge upon. Even confronting a Priest in an restaurant and asking him quite sincerely about his beliefs in homosexuality. He gave me exactly what I wanted, according to him it was a sin. Without even being prompted, he explained Leviticus to me, quoting passage and verse. I then quoted passage and verse of Leviticus, about it being a sin to eat shellfish, as he raised a pealed shrimp to his mouth.

Am I confrontational? You bet, no denying it. It's my nature.

It took me years to get over the scars left by the Church. I still don't believe in organized religion. I'm pretty much what you would call a traditional, in Native spirituality terms. But I can see the good in the Church, I even came to understand how it influenced the development of the west and how that has benefited people like me.

I guess this is a process of maturity that some people go through, when they open their minds. Some people take years to pull it off, some never do. I see a lot of the latter here.

So, here we are. Take your shots at the Church here. Doesn't matter which one. Roman Catholic, Anglican, whatever. Come sh!t on them here. I mean some of you obviously have some deep irrational issues with the Church of (insert you choice here). Hell, some of you can't even separate reality from fiction, or isolate an issue. You generalize and encompass whole groups of people with your BS. But because you think you have a lock on righteousness, you seem comfortable to negate whole groups and justify your asinine rhetoric, without ever doing any self examination.

Pollute one thread with your immature trolling and jabs. Instead of trying to incite religious wars in every thread.

Your experience with religiosity sounds horrific and appalling, CDNB. Please don't allow this to confuse and color your experience with Christ. The two (religiosity and Christ) are worlds apart.

Here is some eye opening statistics. There are some 450 million Arabs and only about 15 million Jews. Both these people practice circumcision. Is it possible the Muslims out populated the Jews because their circumcision enhances procreation. Whereas the Jews might be indulging in sexual practices that inhibit procreation. Would that also explain why the Arabs were rewarded by God with 3/4 of the worlds oil reserves. Whereas the Jews were driven out of Germany.

well when you're imaginary you don't need a reason to be a git. When you make up gods, you don't need to have any reasonable reason why you'd make up a god so lacking in logic.
