couldn't ask for a nicer akbar troll to be burned alive one day

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. Adept at using social media and fluent in English, Abu Turaab is part of the new generation of jihadists who have stormed the Internet to spread the dark message of the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham. On Twitter, he cheerleads ISIS atrocities, quotes terrorists like Anwar Al-Awlaki and tries to coax others into joining him in Syria. He eulogizes dead jihadists and mocks U.S. troops as “criminals and high school dropouts.”

“Can’t wait for the day IS [as he calls ISIS] beheads the first American soldier. Soccer anyone?” he wrote in August. After ISIS beheaded American journalist James Foley, he added, “I guess it’s time to play soccer boys ”

Media outlets ranging from The New York Times to the Daily Mail and Vice.com have quoted his missives, and the U.S. State Department recently singled him out as part of its Think Again Turn Away campaign to disrupt terrorist recruiting.

While he has been careful not to reveal his real identity, posting only photos of himself wearing ski goggles or with a scarf covering his face, the National Post has learned he is a 23-year-old Canadian citizen named Mohammed Ali.

The former resident of Mississauga left the country in April, telling his parents he was flying to Turkey for a tour. He said he’d be gone two weeks but after arriving in Istanbul, he crossed the border into northern Syria.

And how would you then cheer ISIS in Syria but boo them in Iraq? You wouldn't even have to change your name or your posting style. The only thing you care about is which side is doing the killing. ISIS under Mossad is more than you could ask for.

Where do we sign up to volunteer for fighting ISIL on our own dime with our own weapons? Why is it left up to Govts?

I don't think you need to signup. You could just go if you wanted.

Will this guy loose his citizenship (should he survive his tour of Syria)?

Do you think CBSA will let me board a plane to Syria if I'm packing three gun cases and crates of ammo?

Nope, doens't mean it's the only means of accessing the country. You could pretend to be a jihadist and be a double agent. You just need to get creative.

It isnt. There are other stateless organizations fighting it in Syria.

If he lives and tries to come back I imagine it will have to go before the courts. If he doesnt, its a non issue. I imagine someone will go there and somehow survive it though. Sooner or later that issue will come up.

The Saudi's can't take a **** without permission. The funding they are doing for the Syrian Rebels is courtesy of Uncle Sam. The Saudis can't even influence Egypt and their only active role is to supply tanks to Bahrain so they can kill protesters. Why do you think the Arab spring never got to those 2 places?

Are the Canadians that went to help Israel pound Gaza deeper into the ground going to receive medals for their service to the Canadian community?

No, you can't lose your citizenship, I don't think. We can't even extradite him to Syria, because we don't extradite to countries that routinely practice torture. We're stuck with him if he gets back. Which, hopefully, he doesn't.

One thing though--how do these get back? I can't imagine any airline will let him on board?

"we don't extradite to countries that routinely practice torture"

So extradition to the US is now a thing of the past?

We deported her, not stripped her of her citizenship. She was never a Canadian citizen; her refugee claim failed.

Saying her refugee claim of fear of being stoned to death is invalid is different than extradition in what way? She came here to avoid the savage legal process only to be sent back to face the savage legal process.

Honour killings are not part of Pakistani gov't law. It's tribal. I think that's why our gov't is deporting her, they don't have a legal basis for believing she'll be killed.
