Peggy the Moocher Gets Wise to Obama

Remember Peggy Joseph, a.k.a. Peggy the Moocher, who enthused over Obama back in 2008 because she thought he would force other people to pay her personal expenses?

OBAMA'S GONNA PAY FOR MY GAS... - YouTube

Even Peggy has had enough of the failed Moonbat Messiah:
In his new full-length documentary film, “There’s No Place Like Utopia,” Joel Gilbert found Peggy Joseph, the Florida voter who became infamous during the 2008 presidential campaign for saying Barack Obama would “pay for my gas and my mortgage.”

Surprisingly, some six years into the Obama presidency, Joseph has turned against the president, disappointed that he did not deliver on his “hope and change” campaign promises.

“Peggy reminded me of Dorothy from ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ who thought the magical wizard would solve all her problems,” Gilbert told WND in an interview. …

“When I finally found her address, I knocked on her door and brought her a pair of ruby slippers. When I interviewed Peggy, I was astonished that Peggy explained that she was now anti-Obama. She told me, ‘He was not who we thought or expected him to be.’” …

She explained that her comments to a reporter in 2008 were a result of being caught up in the emotion of an Obama campaign rally, and she didn’t think for herself.
Fair enough. What’s the media’s excuse?

Meet a wiser Peggy Joseph.

Attempted assassin told to quit picking on Obama:

Texas woman who sent ricin gets 18 years in prison

A Texas actress who tried to blame her husband after sending ricin-laced letters to officials including President Barack Obama was sentenced Wednesday to 18 years in prison.

A federal judge gave Shannon Guess Richardson, 36, the maximum sentence

The crazed Texan (where else would she be from?) will have 18 years to think over her wickedness.

Putin has Obama by the balls. If Obama steps out of line Putin will screw up Obama's illusory nuclear deal with Iran. Too bad for the Messiah.

Why don't you move to Putinland? I think you'd be much happier there. In the past two years I don't recall hearing one positive thing about anything American. In Siberia you may even find house prices to your liking!

Whatever happened to Donald Trump's so called ''bombshell'' from 2 years ago??

That never panned out like the ''proof'' that Obama was not born in Hawaii.

Pathetic right wingers keep making up lies about Obama and wind up falling flat on their faces.

Putin isn't my enemy. I view the American left in the same way the Soviets viewed the Nazis. Other than the American left I don't perceive anyone else as an enemy. In fact, Putin is harming my enemy.

Do you not know what "schadenfreude" is? Do you not know the pleasure of revenge?

Why do people resist the imposition of another's will upon them? Poisoning the well is preferable to acquiescence.

The bombshell did not pan out.

No proof that Obama was born overseas.

Obama did not take away anybody's guns.

Obamacare worked and continues to expand.

Obama is not 'socialist' or anti-business and is the most pro-business prez ever.

All the predictions turned out to be DEAD wrong.

Obama was called the 'food stamp' president. Of course, the need for food stamps increased because Republicans created the Great Recession and then tried to impede the Obama agenda to correct it.

Now as the economy has improved, food stamp use is going downwards:

Food stamp numbers are finally dropping from recession highs

All the Republican wailing about the high number of people on food assistance in recent years has obscured—intentionally—something important about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program: When the economy is bad and unemployment is high, it should grow. But when the economy improves, SNAP participation shrinks back down. That's why, instead of whining about food stamps and trying to force cuts, Republicans should have been trying to create jobs and raise wages if they wanted the program to shrink. Now, despite all the ways Republicans have stood in the way of fixing the economy, the employment situation is improving (not enough, but improving) and lo and behold, food stamp numbers are starting to drop:

If you understand the reasons for the program's growth during a massive recession with terrible jobs recovery, this makes sense.

What's more:

SNAP costs starting to fall, projected to fall further.

As of early 2014, SNAP caseloads were declining in 47 states, following the pattern of recovery from previous recessions, and the benefit increases from the Recovery Act ended in November 2013. SNAP spending fell slightly as a share of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2012 and 2013, a trend that is expected to accelerate as the economy recovers.

When unemployment is high and the minimum wage is low, we should want nutrition assistance numbers to be high. The alternative under those circumstances is that a lot of people are going hungry, or are stuck with nutritionally poor diets. But the real goal should be low food stamp numbers because unemployment is low and work pays a livable wage. Sadly, that's not the goal of America's most vocal food stamp opponents.

How about a round of applause from the forum Republicans and wannabes?

Great to see that America is once again the land of milk and honey .
Why it is so good people the world over are sending their children to the United States through Mexico .
It is so good that they have turned the water back on in Detroit , for a couple of weeks anyway .

Congratulations America .

How is Obama's foreign policy doing? Obama had a "Reset" with Russia. How has that worked out?

How is Obama's "Pivot to Asia" working out? Why did Obama needlessly antagonize the Chinese? Why do the Chinese call Obama "Hak Gwai"?

Russia and China have forged a strategic relationship in response to Obama. In some ways Obama is the Father of the Sino-Russian anti-American alliance.

Obama took credit for the stabilization of Iraq. Now he's sending US forces back to Iraq. Unfortunately, the Iraqi Army just lost the Second Battle of Tikrit. How's that working out for Obama? In some ways Obama is the Father of the Islamic Caliphate.

Obama is decided to permit minor illegal immigrants to remain in the US. Since then the number of minor illegal aliens has increased dramatically. How's that working out?

Obama is spying on Germany. As a result US/German relations have deteriorated. How's that working out?

Obama promised to defend Japan. But Japan has just abandoned Article 9 of its Peace Constitution, thereby making it legal for Japanese military forces to become more active and aggressive in the Western Pacific. I guess the Japanese don't believe Obama.

Obama is spying on Brazil. As a result US/Brazilian relations have deteriorated. How's that working out?

There are four traditional schools of foreign policy thinking in the US. Obama's "smart diplomacy" has converted large number of "Realists" into Isolationists." Is that what he wanted?

White House Fights to Keep Shirley Sherrod Emails Secret

The Obama administration is trying to keep reams of White House emails regarding the 2010 firing of former Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod secret.

Justice Department lawyers argued in U.S. District Court last week that documents filed recently in Sherrod’s libel lawsuit against the late Andrew Breitbart—who published edited video clips that led the White House to fire Sherrod over accusations of racism—should be sealed and not released to the public.

Josh Gerstein of Politico reports:
Court filings are normally public, but the Justice Department said the e-mails from the accounts of nine White House staffers and an additional number of Agriculture Department officials should be kept under wraps in part because the public already has enough information through official statements about Sherrod’s forced resignation and the ensuing events.

“The parties to this case have no need for ‘public access to the documents at issue’ because they can litigate under seal any issue to which those documents are relevant. Neither does the public at large have any need for access to those documents. As the United States has acknowledged in this case, plaintiff’s resignation from USDA ‘implicate[d] sensitive issues and significant public interest,” DOJ lawyers Charles Glass and Arthur Goldberg wrote. “Those matters have already been addressed, however, by the statements about plaintiff made by Secretary of Agriculture Thomas J. Vilsack and by then-White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs at or about the time of plaintiff’s resignation. Those matters have also been addressed by the thousands of pages of documents dealing with plaintiff that USDA has produced to the public pursuant to [the Freedom of Information Act.]”

In the July 13 motion (posted here), the Justice Department lawyers also invoke a deference to “Presidential confidentiality” as a basis for keeping the contents of the e-mails secret.

“The Office of the President occupies a ‘unique position in the constitutional scheme’ and ‘the public interest requires that a coequal branch of Government afford Presidential confidentiality the greatest protection consistent with the fair administration of justice,’” Glass and Goldberg wrote, quoting the 2004 Supreme Court case granting such deference to Vice President **** Cheney in connection with records relating to the Energy Task Force he headed.
