so they are likely dead, I hope they find them fast, this must be sheer torture for relatives

I think after a week that is likely the case, but I hope for some weird miracle of sorts.

Bear in mind that it may have nothing to do with this guy they brought in for questioning, although we're not privy to a lot of the information of course. So releasing him can mean a whole bunch of things. Yes, the police are continuing to search the remainder of the property and they do still label him as a person of interest, but then I remember that Guy Paul Morin was a person of interest too.

yes you are right, it just takes me back to Millard and them searching his farm in much the same manner...they don't do a shoulder to shoulder without a big indicator...put it this way, if they are dead, I hope this is him and that they reach a conclusion soon, it's gripping.

Oh, I don't necessarily disagree. It just makes me a bit queasy when they say "person of interest" and then nothing comes of it right away. Because people hear 'person of interest' and they think 'suspect'. Often that's true, but not always.

Nathan O'Brien Amber Alert: canine unit called to new search area - Calgary - CBC News

Police have blocked off a new search area at a rural property northeast of Calgary and brought in the canine unit to help with the investigation into the disappearances of three Calgary family members.

Around 2:45 p.m. MT on Sunday, investigators blocked off a new site north of the rural Airdrie property where they have been searching for clues since Friday night. The field has a large body of water and a police helicopter has been seen hovering over the water over the course of the afternoon.

Several officers and a dog are currently in the field.

As unsettling as this is for all of us, and I agree it is, trying to imagine the absolute hell the parents are going through right now.

Man, I could just weep.

It sounds to me like they have not positively confirmed that the vehicle they found in Airdrie is even the same one seen driving around the crime scene. Surely with all the modern technology you'd think they'd have a plate #.

I bet the CCTV that showed the truck came from a persons home.
All depends upon camera angles.

so the land they are searching contained a drug lab before...and this person of interest has done federal time for trafficking and knows the family

really not good...

I would say the search is accurate and the outcome almost certainly bad

I've been accused of being a little indelicate but I would think it's at this juncture "the person of interest" a k a "suspect" should have his testicles placed in a vice! He knows more than he's divulged.

no way then he goes free

trust that these cops know exactly what they are doing and everything they do will have a purpose

Yeah, the mental agony the perp is going through right now is probably worse than any physical agony that could be inflicted.

Probably closer to realization than fear, if he's guilty of anything serious.
yes, if

I hope they don't have this wrong because otherwise valuable time is being lost

so is this weird or no

From Mike Wright, on the scene: A large amount of police and RCMP left the rural Airdrie property they'd been searching this afternoon. The police boat on the pond also left. The police have said they may return to search the property Monday.

No doubt there's other members following other leads.

I'm thinking if there's any good news we'll hear momentarily, bad news may take a day or so.
