So great to see the Rangers play inspired puck. Every time one of the Pitt players crashed the crease they were rewarded with a not so gentle hug from a Ranger defender. This is how to win in NHL hockey.

Yep, 63 is far too young in this day and age.

So true. She's gone to her Reward but no doubt she provided much inspiration from Above to her team.

I didn't see the game but the result doesn't surprise me. Crosby is the most overrated player in the history of the NHL.

Well, I would possibly agree with second overrated.................. Dear little Mommy's boy Eric Lindross holds that distinction............f**kin' brat.-:)

Ha ha, but he played when headshots were allowed.. even expected. Crosby would've lasted about 20 games in those days.

His attitude at age 18 just "killed" any interest I might have taken in his hockey skills. Most 18 year olds at the time would have given their eye teeth just to play with the Quebec Nordiques (at least until they got established with the league)

Ya, I think his dad was the ringleader.

i've heard so much about crosby's head over the past couple of years, i could do brain surgery.

minnesota just defeated chicago, 4-2, very very fast game, both goalies played well, but both
also let in one they probably should have stopped.

in the last period, chicago got a bit frustrated, got into penalty trouble, score went to 4-2, and
there was no looking back for minnesota, they cruised to the win.

back to chicago now, tied two games a piece, if this series is a win at home for everyone, then
chicago will do it.

i have been thinking about the final, and after watching all the teams still playing, i think, if
minnesota makes it through the west and montreal make it through the east, they would give everyone
a very entertaining series.
both teams are very similar, very energetic and very fast, the only drawback for minnesota could be
bryzgalof in goal, he is playing great right now, but not sure of his lasting ability, but if he
continues as he has been doing, it would be so much fun.

boston against anaheim or l.a., would suit each other very well, each play a heavy game, and each do
not score a ton of goals, but the sheer physical battle would be present, and both have outstanding
goalies, a bit of a question mark for anaheim in goal.

pittsburg and chicago would suit each other perfectly, both have high end offense, and the game would
be entertaining in that respect, but pittsburg might suffer on the defensive side of the game, and
if fleury doesn't do what he needs to do, that could be the end of them.

not sure who to hook the rangers up with, they are not consistent, but if they play their best all
the way through the finals, against anaheim or chicago, they could do well.
i think l.a. would be too tough for them.

i think the most entertaining would be my first choice, nothing to do with my favourite, i don't really have
one, and i will always pull for the west over the east, but if montreal is in the final, and they win,
i won't be sad, but i'll only give them the cup for one year, then take it back. lol

the anaheim/la game tonight was really wierd, anaheim scored two goals in the first period, then shut it down
and didn't get 'one' shot on goal in the second period, played a bit more offensively in the third,
but did hang on to win the game 2-0

not the most entertaining game, for sure. series tied at 2 now.

I watched the Habs get shellacked (although I did miss the first two minutes of the 2nd period!!!!!!!!) Well, their backs are against the wall now!

yes, it was all boston in this game, and price couldn't win it for them all by himself, that strategy
doesn't work all the time. their best players must show up and help out, did the opposite tonight,
sat in the penalty box and caused goals.

hope they do it next game, but boston are the more thorough team, but the game must be played, then
we'll see.

shawn thornton was fined almost 2900.00 today for 'unsportsmanlike conduct', for squirting water at

subban during 'live' play as subban skated by with the puck.

thornton was laughing it up on the bench, and he probably is just thumbing his nose at the fine too.

the amount was the maximum allowed for a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, but no actual penalty was
given.

stupid dumb jock, he definitely fits that title perfectly. And as pk said, if i had of done that it
would be in all the papers, and talked about for days.

i can just imagine if boston was losing the game and pk had of done that, thornton would have thrown
a tantrum and wanted to beat pk up, but so much fun when you are winning, what a twit, its interesting
how some people do finally grow up, and many don't, thornton would fit in just fine, in a playground with
a group of 10 year old boys.

Maybe a matter of a little fame going to his head. Perhaps some thug will even things up. -:)

he is the rahrah guy for the team, if you remember early on when they won right near the end of the
game, he had been injured, but came onto the bench and became a cheerleader, waving his arms around,
and urging the team on. he is like a child, quite an empty head, but full of tantrums and noise
which sometimes helps the team and sometimes hinders them. i'm sure coach julien had a few words
with him after last game, a bit like taking him behind the barn and smacking him around, having to
use small basic language he could understand. he is the thug.

Rock on Martin St Louis! Way to inspire your team. Good win by the Rangers tonight. The score would have been much higher in their favor had they been able to muster a PP. The PK was about the only thing my Penguins managed to get right tonight. Sheesh

Yes, the Rangers did play inspired puck. Now it's onto another game 7 in Pitt which should be just as intense.

{OffTopic} Sadly for me, Syracuse lost in the lacrosse playoffs to Bryant from Rhode Island which is emerging as a lax powerhouse. But it was a good ride for the Orange. Hopefully, we'll have a better season next year.

sweet win for rangers, they look like their old selves again, lots of jump and energy. game 7 back
in pittsburg will be exciting.

another water bottle thing, quite different to the boston one, as play was dead, lunquist skated by
the pile of players, squirted crosby with his water bottle, on the back, he didn't know he was being
squirted, i think it was a bit of a retalliation for the crosby deed on him seconds earlier.

and in the anaheim/l.a. series the other day, cory perry filled someone's glove with water while it was
lying innocently on the ledge, guess the boys will play.

no fines for other two, as it didn't have anything to do with the actual play of the game, and it wasn't
into someone's face, while they were carrying the puck.

amazing game in chicago against minnesota, two such fast young teams, very intense game, non stop
speed end to end, anybodys game, but it was at home for the hawks, and they did prevail, thanks
to toews, who rose to the occasion.
in my opinion this is the best series of the playoffs, no other games are this fast. 2-1 hawks
