I'm fine this sunny morning. A little too early in the day to be up, but I'll manage. It is you that I worry about. I think you have a very kind heart but that you have been lead astray.Cliffy, How ya doing this morning?

Cliffy, How ya doing this morning?
Count, It seems you woke up on the wrong side of reality. You are not God, I am not God.
Hello Dexter. Yes, Lewis makes a fine point.
Spade, You suggest the teachings of Jesus and Paul are different, how so?
Christianity was not Jesus' doing; it was Saul's (Paul's).
There is nothing wrong in seeing the "divine" in his teachings. Pacifism, charity, forgiveness, love of neighbour and adversary, and so on, are noble ideals but they aren't Christian as is practised today.
A bit general in application. We are all not Westbo Baptists.
Which "Christian" practices do you disavow?
PS
What in Hell (Heaven's name) is a Christian?
Does a Christian have to believe Jesus was a god?
No different from any other of us who have the spark of the "divine", or was he God?
My church teaches of the Holy Trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The spark of divine would be the Holy Spirit who is in all of us.
So, there are at least three gods? Or is Jesus just an "ideal" which we think of as "God"? Or,an actual avatar?
With my church its a 3-in-1 concept. They are all faces of the same God.
I believe the interpretation of the 3 may differ with each church.
3 in 1 and it's a mystery...least that is what I was taught...So, there are at least three gods? Or is Jesus just an "ideal" which we think of as "God"? Or,an actual avatar?
Like the Hindu trinity?
didn't know there is a Hindu trinity...gonna look that up nowLike the Hindu trinity?
nah...that is 3 gods...Christianity is 3 gods in oneLike the Hindu trinity?
No he doesn't, his Mere Christianity book isn't much more than one long begging the question fallacy, wouldn't convince anyone who can think clearly.Hello Dexter. Yes, Lewis makes a fine point.
Thanks Cliffy. I wonder if you think I adhere to medieval practices when it comes to my faith in Christ. I assure you that I am in no way enslaved to ritual. I embrace the Bible because it establishes justification, joy and liberty. I agree with you that much of religion is and has been used to control the masses. That "religion" I denounce as Christ does. There is great freedom in Christ - that is the Christianity I know.I'm fine this sunny morning. A little too early in the day to be up, but I'll manage. Spade,Well, for starters, Saul never knew Yeshua, the mendicant Jewish rabbi. Saul's theology was a Greek version of rumour and story.

No. In my experience that statement is false.Do you suppose you can believe the promise? - God says "if you seek me you will find me."
