and killing is definitely the Christian way to do things.
Well, it certainly used to be, the only reason it isn't anymore is because the Christian churches no longer have the secular power they once had in most places. But where they do have it, they're still killing people for imaginary crimes like witchcraft.

Born Yesterday Christians should all be lined up and shot.
They can be very annoying but... shot? Na. It's the lunatic fringe that tries to influence political and legal processes to adhere to their gross misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the bible that should have their pee pees whacked, though.

I find them very Christian by their conduct.
T-Bones: Here's a tip for you. If someone says they are a Christian, and then pour acid down a child's throat, that self professed Christian is really NOT a Christian. You do rather enjoy the "christians" doing evil stories. I do suppose if the Pope ran about chopping people's heads off it would put a smile on your face.

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

How bout if they say they are Christians, then drop a nuclear bomb on a city?

By the way, who are you to say who is and is not a Christian? Do you give out certificates to those who pass your exacting standards?

Interesting. You tell me how I feel, then condemn me for it. That's pretty consistent with most of the people I've encountered who loudly proclaim their Christianity. Judging others seems to be their favourite pastime.

The T-Bones is a bit cranky this morning. This quote from Martin Luther may bring a smile to your face. His response to fake Christians - the wolves.

Even if we were stones and wooden blocks, we could see by your works throughout all the world that you are lost, desperate children of the devil and also mad. Someone probably would like to curse you so that you might be struck down by lightning and thunder, burned by hellish fire, have the plague, syphilis, epilepsy, the plague of St. Anthony, leprosy, carbuncles, and all the plagues - but these are all caresses, and God has long ago punished you with greater plagues, just like God's despisers and blasphemers should be punished.

Good idea. If you can't answer the question, go with the ad hominem attack.

In case you hadn't noticed, I laugh at hypocrisy in all its forms: religious, cultural, racial, social.

It's always fun to be attacked by Christians. Gets me to thinking how far I've come from the Indian school.

T-Bones, Not everthing said is an attack. Why perceive the discussion of concepts as attacks? Methinks, you much prefer to argue. Could you not apply Luther's remarks to those people who mistreated you at the Indian school? Is there no chance of differentiation? Do we not actually agree? Would we both not want as Luther says to have such marauders struck down with the plague of St. Anthony and carbuncles?

Jesus called the charlatons a "brood of vipers".

Know an attack when I see one. One of the many things I learned from, among others, Christians.

Why perceive the discussion of concepts as attacks?
Telling me what I think and comments about "cranky" do not comprise a discussion of concepts.

Methinks, you much prefer to argue.
When I'm bored. There's no point to the argument, so it merely fills time.

Why on Earth should I apply anything a sixteenth-century German ecclesiatical rebel has to say to any aspect of my life? In what way is Luther relevant to me?

Is there no chance of differentiation? Do we not actually agree? Would we both not want as Luther says to have such marauders struck down with the plague of St. Anthony and carbuncles?
There is no differentiation. That's the ultimate proof of the fundamental silliness of Christianity: Christians, as individuals and churches, perform no better and no worse than non-Christians. You would think something as profound as they claim their religion is would produce some tangible effect. It doesn't.

Jesus called the charlatons a "brood of vipers".
Bet he spelled "charlatans" right. Or probably not. I don't think it's an Aramaic word.

T-Bones: Take it easy. You always this feisty on Monday mornings? You can insult me and my faith, but correcting my spelling is all out of bounds.

"In what way is Luther relevant to me?" Does everything have to have relevance? How about just laugh. I'm not suggesting you adopt Luther's views. Just saying some people are fakes & Luther also noted the same.

If you are looking for perfection in regards to tangible effect, wait a little while longer. The Second Coming will address that matter.

How do you get from my post that I'm looking for perfection? I said there was NO DISCERNABLE DIFFERENCE between Christians as individuals and organisations and non-Christians as individuals and organisations. Hence my comment that Christianity is silly. It makes no difference. It has no influence. A good person will be a good person, Christian or not. A bad person likewise.

The sun will burn out before that happens.
Dex - I think the sun dying out is one of the signs that signifies the second coming. I might be wrong on that - all depends on which view of the apocalypse one holds. The important thing about the Second Coming of Christ....If one day you are about your business and suddenly you find a fair number of the population has vanished - run straight away and grab a Bible for a re-read. :)

T-Bones! Very well. It is true that often times people act like idiots.
How about you & me (yeah, bad grammar) head down to that Indian school and spring the old St. Anthony plague upon them? Oh No! That wasn't very Christian of me.....Bah HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This story shows the true origin of religions.
It's easy to exploit and control the superstitious.
