That is true! Enough places are going to be getting flooded by the massive amounts of melting snow. No need to increase that flooding with it happening all at once!

Other than being unusual does it affect the freight moving? The ice would actually stop big waves in high winds so the boats could load right up and it would be calm water all the way to their destination.
