It's a strange world when some people are accused of properly pronouncing one's name.

My first name is Sean. The "proper'' English way of pronouncing it would be ''Seen'' yet it is pronounced ''Shawn'' because of it's Gaelic origins. Big deal...

Why in the world would one accuse journalists of properly pronouncing a name?
Hey! Critising the correct and traditional pronunciation of people's names is a very good use of airtime, iie? Hai?.
