Too gay to rape: Man found not guilty of sex assault

I'm a little confused- years ago we were told rape has NOTHING to do with sex but much more to do with control and hatred! Did that "balloon" pop?

It is about control and violence, that's correct. And given that the DNA evidence seemed to exonerate him (I say seemed as I've not read the article but seen it mentioned in several posts.), I'd say it's a case of the (false) accuser trying to control the (wrongly) accused.

So I guess all this stuff about him being flamboyantly gay was just a red herring that had NOTHING to do with the actual case. You got to wonder where they find some of these judges! -:)

Ok, so I just read the article. No the DNA did not match. The flamboyantly gay piece was what he apparently said on the witness stand when he testified in his own defense, in other words he was saying on top of or or in conjunction with the evidence that he was not the perpetrator, he's gay and therefore has no interest in women anyway.

And it sounds to me that she didn't get a very look at the guy anyway, her testimony was "shakey".
