Being competent and being in your right mind are two different things.
Yes it does depend on the candidate however in this case the guy
has brought enough disrespect to the city. Some might even be good
at a particular thing but when they go beyond the bounds of respect
for the office and the city its time to say enough. I guess the people
of Toronto have to ask themselves do they want real leadership or
a person bent on making them the laughing stock they are now.

Rob Ford came to power because the previous Mayor spent like a drunken sailor while crying poor to the Feds.
What I do understand about this whole situation is that I never heard of the previous mayor, and the whole damn world is laughing at Ford. The whole damn world thinks Ford is basically Canada. Its embarrassing!

I already do. My tax dollars have been supporting your city since I was old enough to pay.

So I guess I can infer from this statement that you do not live in Toronto and therefore do not pay taxes in Toronto.

You also seem to think that you are somehow subsidizing Toronto, when it is really the other way around.

Of course Toronto gets a lot out of the provincial coffers. We represent 20% of the tax base and are the center of much of the economic activity in Ontario.

How many people use city of Toronto infrastructure to get to work every day yet pay nothing directly to the city in taxes? How many smaller cities shoo their disadvantaged people out of town and into Toronto where we get to pick up the bill?

Another clear indication that you don't read peoples posts and just blather on.

Really Toronto is subsidizing Ontario is it? Or are you carrying Canada as a whole?

Hah!

O what a bubble you live in. Oh so Torontonian.

Reading comprehension is not your forte I see.

I have to say, seems like the problem is more with your ability to express yourself.

What exactly do you expect someone to infer about where you live from the statement "My tax dollars have been supporting your city since I was old enough to pay."

Spit it out or let it go.

actually, if RCS was the only one commenting on your lack of comprehension over numerous topics, I'd have to agree with you. BUT, since he is NOT the only one that has made the observation, over many topics, then I would say you need to be looking in the mirror for the source of the problem.

I think born ruff made a legitimate point about how we support each other in this province. Ganging up on him isn't strengthening any other case.

I have repeatedly stated my position and if Bornruff were to spend a little more time reading and less time blathering, he or she, might not exhaust the patience of some posters.

So, if Ford does win it will be fun to watch morons like you huff and puff and cry.

I rest my case. Ford's competence to lead the city is completely irrelevant to the radical right. Thye have no other desires outside of sheer spite. It's an inherently destruictive doctrine. Ultimately self-destructive, as the tea party wingnuts in the US are finding out. None too soon in my opinion.

I don't care what you may have written in any other post, I am asking questions about specific comments that you have made in specific posts, which apparently makes you very angry.

I'm not angry. Just not interested in repeating myself again and again and again...

Or we simply have a number of people who choose to post in a certain way.

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't necessarily mean they don't understand you.

Lol, then say what you want to say the first time I ask you, rather than repeatedly whining about not wanting to defend your posts.

I don't think so. There are no Tea Party Wingnuts in Canada.

Heck, our Conservatives are closer in rank and file to the American Democrats. That is just scaremongering used by the extreme left. I have already stated that I think John Tory should run. I just get a kick out of folks who profess to know what is best for the voting public and lose their mind when the public revolts.

Lol, then say what you want to say the first time I ask you, rather than repeatedly whining about not wanting to defend your posts.

I'll give you this Bornruff, you are relentless in achieving new levels of stupid.
