There is nothing to gain by calling an emergency. The army has no lineman brigade or electric eng corp. All available resources have been utilized to get the power back on.

I don't think so, you've been beating away at the video and a confession and I don't know how many times I've told you that neither of those are conclusive evidence. Just ask the cops how many crackpot admissions are phoned every time there is a high profile murder or how many times hard drugs are identified from a photograph.

Its like having people collect old tires and pots and pans during WWII it didn't do
any good but the perception of someone doing something takes the edge off
things and some benefits are there through the federal government. A state of
emergency has its benefits.

This wasn't a crackpot calling in an anonymous tip. This is the mayor of Toronto freely admitting what he did.

How many cases do you think there are where they have both video of the incident in question and a confession and it turns out to be untrue?

That's what JLM will do. He has defended Ford in the past and simply can't admit he was wrong. Some of the others quit posting on the matter in order to avoid embarrassment. While JLM does look incredibly foolish, we should (at ther very least) acknowledge his willingness to fall on his own sword. You just don't see that level of stubborness every day.
