Are you saying that every possible form of contraceptive is an inalienable right?

btw - no one (ie. corporations) are preventing anyone from accessing whatever option they want.

Lastly, you still haven't addressed my question regarding to what women are being denied relative to men (remember the Ferrari vs station wagon example)

I'm saying that if medical care is part of the labour law, putting provisions in place based on gender, is not right. What a person accesses is between them and their doctor, not them and their employer. What is medically necessary is a doctor's decision, not an employer's.

And I said already.... men are being offered zero interference, no religious strings attached. Women are being offered restrictions.

BTW.... if these people are concerned that their employees' behaviour and or moral decisions breaches their religious rights, then ruling in their favour on this would be the tip of the iceberg. What about money used by their employees to purchase prostitutes? Or money spent on drugs? Why the focus on the possibility that the coverage could be used to access birth control?

Christians support drone strikes on wedding parties in certain areas, is that a form of birth control?

You're an idiot.

Treatment for testicular cancer? Treatment for prostate cancer?

I'm fine with excluding OB/GYN care and contraception for women from insurance policies, if you're OK with excluding testicular cancer treatment, prostate cancer treatment, and d*ck-stiffener prescriptions.

Sit down, take a deep breath and think about what you just said. You're comparing excluding contraceptives with cancer treatments? Really?

So, men have their contraceptive options covered under their medical insurance?

They can take whatever hormones their doctors deem necessary, and have whatever medical procedures their doctors deem necessary, yes. It is not up to an employer to dictate what medical care a person can and can not receive.

You didn't answer the question. Are male contraception options paid for by insurance?

Review the TPP agreement and I'm sure you will see the error of your thinking. Why don't you support the great social innovations of our times and the great primate leap forward born of Homo Bankorus.

You're an idiot.
No gerryh I'm not an idiot , the ones that are the idiots that think they can 'win a war' by killing people with drone attacks. (Christians on Sunday) Every attack leaves more people hating the (Christian) West so their supports are even bigger idiots. Feel free to take it that I insist you are in the latter group.

You think Obama dictated the ACA himself?

You really don't know much about the American political process, do you?
He's the prez and I don't here him saying to take out the contraceptives bit. You're not as bright as I think I am.

So, hysterectomy or tubal ligations are not covered?

Yes, they are, thus the complaint from the employer.

Their objection is that the availability for women, of contraceptive methods, puts it in violation of their religious rights as a corporation.

As I understood the complaint, it was concerning non surgical contraception. IE oral, implants, etc.

Contraception is contraception. Cherry picking which medical care your employees are allowed, and aren't, is not okay.

Neither does hysterectomy or tubal ligation, you're a parrot with a big dash or tard included. Nice to know some people are *******s from start to finish. You still owe me an apology for proving those two points you claimed were lies. But the that is your nornal style and you still expect respect, it isn't going to happen in this lifetime.

No, neither are women's condoms or spermicidal jelly.... we're talking medical care, not over the counter barrier methods.

BTW, if the basis of the argument is that women shouldn't be allowed medical care that men don't get, then you're going to need to scrap a lot of male medical coverage, and female medical coverage, to make the genders equal.

"The pill" is not "medical care".

another thing, as I understand it, the individual has the option of getting their own insurance, if they so wish.

It's you, and others, that brought up the argument of "exclusion".

No I don't, and no you didn't...and like then, I am done with you. Unlike Bear, my tolerance for your idiocy is minimal.

The pill is most certainly medical care. I've been on the pill plenty, never as a contraceptive method. I've also had IUD's (hormone infused) offered in an attempt to treat my medical condition, and finally had a hysterectomy.

It is exclusionary when the medical care of one gender is being used as an excuse to claim that your corporation's religious rights are being trampled. "Stop giving women contraceptive care, or we pull everyone's coverage."

If men are allowed contraceptive care from their doctors, then so are women, end of story. No cherry picking, no making up rules according to the particular way you're practicing your religion that day. If medical care is an employment rule, it's a rule. If that tramples your corporation's religious rights, then get out of the business.
