Denying it for the past 5 months was a no no. Opportunity to save face came and went months ago.

I don't agree with the attitude that politicians' lives outside work are our business, so I'm not overly concerned about him having attempted to keep his personal lapses in judgement to himself.

It's about trust Karrie. It's not about how well the city is running, what he does on his spare time while hanging out with drug dealers. It's about trust.

Elections are about trust. His track record with this WILL factor in to his next election. You know people won't vote for him. They're sitting here having to question if his actions led to him compromising his position as mayor. That will factor in, 100%, at his next election. But, unless it's proven that he was compromised, then 'trust', an intangible, fluctuating emotion, does not factor in to whether he should be stripped of power right now, imo. Proof is needed for that.

One man is honest and he's stupid, stupid, stupid. The other lies through his teeth and poor him? Ok.

Stupid politically. I don't disagree with Justin, I just don't think its going to help him become PM. I didn't say he's stupid for smoking while being an MP, I couldn't give a rats ***. I feel for Rob Ford because he's got issues with substance abuse, to my knowledge Justin doesn't. Does that clear it up for you?

Listen, if there is some proof that Rob Ford smoked crack, I'd be the first to call for his resignation. However, all we have is a the word of some police chief--who is after the Ford's anyway--about some supposed video where he may or may not be huffing crack. That, and reports from the liberal MSM that Rob Ford has "admitted" to using crack. As if we can trust them.

Sorry, call me skeptical, but I'm goign to need some kind of proof.

like his admission?

If it smokes like cocaine, smells like cocaine, talks like cocaine, it is probably cocaine

I never said it wasn't.

As a non citizen of Toronto, I'm disappointed too. He could have owned up to being in the video months ago, at that point I would have had some respect for showing some balls and honesty.

More sh*t is going to ooze up from below table, wait and watch. This is far from over.

Yep, he's done, once the whole world knows he's a liar, time to go hide somewhere!

What happens to other City of Toronto employees with drug and alcohol problems?

If they're like every other employer in Canada, they try to run them off before they admit that they have drug and alcohol problems, because once they admit it, they're virtually impossible to fire, you have to get them help.
