No I haven't

Are you suggesting one must follow this particular story to have an informed opinion on ethics in politics. Surely you can't be serious.

Nope- Just on this one - the main topic of your posts-

The main topic of my posts is ethics in politics. Sorry you misinterpreted what was posted.
My issue is not with what Rob Ford does. My issue is that many people don't care because they are benefitting financially.

It was ethics in Toronto politics- getting forgetful at such a young age.
Perhaps you should retire to bed earlier than 8.

Rob Ford Video: Justin Trudeau Reacts To Alleged Anti-Gay Slur

The clip also allegedly features a man off camera discussing the rookie Liberal leader.
According to two Toronto Star reporters, Ford appears to say, “Justin Trudeau’s a fag.”
At another point in the clip, Ford is allegedly asked about the high school football team he coaches and, again according to Star reporters, appears to say, “they are just f--ing minorities.”

Ford has no place in civil society let alone high civic office.

Has Ford been unethical? (This thread is about Ford)

Corruption is acceptable in Montreal. It would appear many in TO could not care less if their city goes down the same road....as long as they get what they want.

Why is corruption acceptable in Montreal? My brother lives in a small city 20 miles west of Montreal and he certainly doesn't find corruption acceptable and I imagine his neighbours are much the same.

Possibly. It doesn't matter to some people. That's the point

Because people have accepted it. What has your brother done about it?

What politicians are not possibly unethical? As far as I know my brother acts ethically and sets a good example and is careful who he votes for.

Everybody is possibly unethical. The issue is with people that say it doesn't matter.

So, in other words, he's accepted it.

Accepted what? What goes on in another city? For all I know the mayor of his city could be the Popes virgin brother.

I'd be careful, Cannuck, you may be "wading in" over your depth.

Please define Ethics? Ethics can be so hard to find at times.

ethics - definition of ethics by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

ethics [ˈɛθɪks]
n
1. (Philosophy) (functioning as singular) the philosophical study of the moral value of human conduct and of the rules and principles that ought to govern it; moral philosophy See also meta-ethics
2. (functioning as plural) a social, religious, or civil code of behaviour considered correct, esp that of a particular group, profession, or individual

So, in other words, he's accepted it.

Deflection.

Then why did you bring him up?

I'm beginning to get a little more insight into you, possibly the same things Goober and Bear pick up on. You can not handle anything that could be construed as even slightly admonishing. Yet you "tar" everything with the same brush. Everyone in Montreal accepts corruption, I just mentioned my brother because he is the only person in the area I know, otherwise I could have mentioned someone else. We are discussing a thread about Ford's possible connection to unsavoury characters or practices, yet you say you are not talking about Ford but about people who don't care about shaky ethics, so why hijack his thread?

The fact is, he has nothing to do with Montreal.

I'm not hijacking the thread. If people support Ford simply because they agree with him politically, that is part of the discussion. If you don't like it, perhaps you can take it up with the thread cops.

They are Moderators. Not cops who you have a profound dislike for - Almost a fixation some might say.
But this is where your head is on many threads.
