Scotland: New factory building contains special Islamic toilet, but there are no Muslim employees

Workers at the state-of-the-art factory were shocked when they were given a tour of the building and told a cubicle had been fitted for the use of Muslim employees. The staff said they are baffled at the decision because they are not aware of any Islamic workers at the base in Cambuslang, near Glasgow.

Last night, management at the bakery said they had received several requests from all over the country for the exclusive facility. All their new buildings will now be fitted with the specialised toilet regardless of the number of Muslims in the workforce.

The Islamic faith has particular rules regarding personal hygiene when going to the toilet, including squatting, washing feet, remaining silent and limited use of toilet paper. However, these rules are not compulsory to all Muslims and many believe they are outdated since, in modern times, toilets have become clean tiled areas.

Alan Greenshields, general manager for Greggs in Scotland, said the move was a pre-emptive measure in the company’s attempts to cater for all religions.

Excuse me, but is there is any religion other than Islam that requires special toilets?

They also have to face Mecca. Which begs the question--which way do they build the toilets in Mecca?

I'm not aware of them having to face the Qa'ba when defacating. They do have to during the 5 obligatory prayers.

Howe3ver, hypothetically speaking, if their loos did have to face the Qa'ba, since the Qa'ba is a square block, even in Mecca they'd be facing that same cube.

Again, it's another case of the Muzzies being pandered too.

Whilst Christians - the world's most persecuted religious group - are told in Britain that they can't wear crosses to work and that the tradition of saying the Lord's Prayer at the beginning of council meetings is abolished in some areas "in case it offends" we are now having buildings built throughout the country with special "Muslim toilets", even if no Muslims are going to use them and even though Muslims can easily use the same toilets as everyone else. Funnily enough, whilst our rulers tread carefully to make sure that Christianity doesn't "offend" no such considerations are made regarding Islam.

Muslims are just being pandered to left, right and centre in Britain like no other religious group and whilst some religious groups are being persecuted, like the Christian majority.

I'm guessing that anyone can use these toilets if so desired... It's not like you need to know the secret Muslim password to gain entry

Most Muslims have no problem using normal toilets. Indeed, they have to nearly all the time when they aren't in their own homes, when they use public toilets or the toilet in their place of work.

The fact is that Muslims are pandered to like no other religious group and I've never understood why. There's no way Christians would get special treatment the way Muslims do.

Whilst the tradition of saying the Lord's Prayer has been stopped by some village, town, city and county councils "in case it offends", and whilst even school Nativity plays are made "non-Christian and multi-faith" in case "they cause offence", Bishop Bridgeman CHURCH OF ENGLAND Primary School a few hundred yards from my home has just had a new floor built to house special "prayer rooms" for its majority of MUSLIM pupils.

So here we have what was supposed to be a Christian school building new Islamic prayer rooms so its hundreds of Muzzie pupils can pray.

Yet you'd be hard-pressed to find an Islamic school that accepts non-Muslims.

What the hell is a Muslim toilet?

Is it obligatory to yell Allah be Praised after every bowel movement?

I feel so out of touch with the modern world......... :-(

If you feel that strongly about things like the Lords Prayer being recited, then take the next step and organize within your community to have things changed... Hell run for a gvt position with one of your policies as reinstating the practice

What's the point? As a Christian my views will be ignored.

There was uproar a few years ago in Bolton when Bolton Council banned a British Legion march from taking place. People wanted to march through the town in honour of the British Legion to show their support for our service personnel. The council said that the march was not allowed to take place because they couldn't afford to police it.

Yet, just several weeks later, the annual march by hundreds of placard-waving Muslims to celebrate Mohammed's birthday was allowed to take place, with its resultant misery for traffic users who suddenly found that they couldn't drive down certain streets because they were blocked by hundreds of noisy Muslim marchers. Strangely enough, there were hundreds of police officers present to police this march (but only, I suspect, to prevent anyone from attacking the Muslims rather than to prevent the Muslims causing trouble) so the same Bolton Council which banned a British Legion march because it said it couldn't afford to police it was suddenly and miraculously able to cough up some cash to fund a Muslim march.

Angry townfolk wrote letters to the Bolton News newspaper saying that they had sent letters to Bolton Council asking why they were able to afford to police an Islamic march through the town when they had banned a British Legion march from taking place because they said they couldn't afford to police it but, not surprisingly, not one of them got a reply back from the council. They were just ignored.

You can organize and vote-out that Council.

Assuming that there is widespread support for this, the 'organizing' shouldn't be that tough... If, on the other hand, there isn't support, then you are the minority and that's life

Muslim Toilet

I wonder, are the foot print things labeled ""left and right"?
There doesn't seem to be a toilet paper thingy. If I were forced to use
this, I would change religions....

Was the Islamic parade booked, planned, and funded first?
