Torts vs Roy could make for interesting games.
Boy would it ever........as long as the Canucks don't have too tight a leash on John.

Torts vs Roy could make for interesting games.
I think they should get 'mike holmes' in to check that partition, i'm sure it was never inspected. lol
i think roy was even surprised at how easy he got it rockin, pretty shabby work, whoever did it.
good game for sure, lots of speed and energy, would have been closer without the hamhuis and higgin's
errors.
san jose has a very powerful team, even without a couple of strong players who are injured.
they are very big and very fast with the new additions, not the slow team we use to see.
it will be interesting to see them play chicago.
luongo played well, he has been sharp ever since the opener.
too many penalties, but good penalty killing.
I see the shot blocking is alive well under torts, poor tanev must be black and blue allready.
I like the effort.
san jose 4 canucks 1
The Canucks were out skated, out shot, and out scored by a better team.
I thought they matched san jose for the first ten minutes or so, but yes, we must recognize when they
are playing a 'better' team than they are.
san jose has been a threat for some years now, but seem to have sizzled out somewhere in the playoffs,
BUT, they now have the best team they have had 'ever', every line is a threat, their new players are a
threat, their goaltending is solid, so at this early point I will go out on a limb and, (without serious
injuries), I will predict san jose to be right there at the end. They are similar to the canucks, as they
have players who are beginning to age, and now is the time they must do it, or they will be past their
'freshness date', and will lose those top players, 'thornton', and others.
now that detroit are in the east, I think they are a strong threat to be
the strength of that conference.
I was trying to get a reaction. I agree they looked not too bad for the first half a period or so. They did start to run around a bit after San Jose scored. We have to remember that San Jose was the team that swept Vancouver last year. in the playoffs. At the moment, it looks like they could do it again..........
Everything here is overpriced-I paid $3.15 for a cup of Tea to go yesterday and $5.20 for a cup of hot chocolate the day before....Canucks tickets are among the highest at $113. What gives with that B.S.?
Everything here is overpriced-I paid $3.15 for a cup of Tea to go yesterday and $5.20 for a cup of hot chocolate the day before.
Mind you it was delicious Tea and probably the Best Hot Chocolate I've ever drunk-the Canucks OTOH......
If you go to ESPN and click on "schedule" you will see ticket prices, some as low as $8, Canucks tickets are among the highest at $113. What gives with that B.S.?
very simple, supply and demand.
canucks have a huge waiting list for seasons tickets, and always fillthe building, not so with those cheap tickets, people not so interested
in hockey, they have to bribe them to come in.
That makes perfect sense. Just hard to believe in those other huge cities like Boston and St. Louis they can't find enough fans. Sure not the case in Winnipeg though-![]()
if you have seen tickets for 8 dollars in boston and st. louis, it must be some kind of promotion
for a 'certain' number of tickets, because those cities draw very well.
just like detroit, who have suffered economically, and are striving to help the city recover, so
they also have promotions to help fans come to the games. in normal times detroit sells out, and
have done so for years.
so each city has their own story, can't compare any of them to canadian markets.
sometimes we mention that if we lived in phoenix we could get excellent season tickets and attend
most of the games affordably, and we could see canucks when they come to phoenix and all the other
teams as well, would be fun, and we could go to major league baseball games as well, and some
pga golf tournaments played in phoenix and other places not far away.
oh yeah, forgot about the not so green grass, and the dry desert air, and 'no' ocean, I just changed
my mind, I will stay here, and watch on my large hd tv, just as good, and have the great ocean
breezes just outside my door.
There's some in Montreal tonight going for $14.
NEXT GAME VS. Oilers - saturday CBC
7pm, hockey night in canada, right after toronto/ottawa
burrows in out of the lineup for a couple of weeks, not sure what the injury is.
NOTE; burrows blocked a shot during 5 on 3 in san jose, result, injury
They put the boots to Edmonton.
Listened to Torts on the post game conference. One of guys said, 'the CBC said you should keep your mouth shut and suck it up', referring to the shouting match he had with Eakins. Torts replied, 'I don't give a sh!t what the CBC thinks.'
