You gotta figure that, if you're causing a scene in public these days, somebody is probably recording it and it'll wind up on YouTube before you can get back to your desk in the embassy.

A staffer at the U.S. embassy in Malta is winging his way back to the United States of America, after a video of this career-ending explosion hit YouTube and went viral. (warning - coarse language, lots and lots of it)

Maybe not cut out to be a diplomat. Too bad for him--I heard the State Department is a good gig.

Reading yesterday about the mass retirements in the US Civil Service over the past few years- and the expected surge coming- Cuts coming, new polices, new BS- Those that can retire-
The average age in the Civil Service is 4 years higher than the average working age in the US- The CS workforce is aging.

You do have to wonder what this American diplomat was so worked up about that he was ready to wage war against the Maltese - a comfortable assignment, a small island, population 400,000, largely Catholic, official languages Maltese and English, a tourist destination, warm climate, historical sites, varied cuisine, demographic imbalance in favour of women. It's apparent he didn't even have to learn a foreign language and it's not like he was posted to a diplomatic mission in Iraq or Syria, Russia or some other hell hole........

Well, they had a swimming pool in drinks in Kabul while we were sweating it out on a dry base. Still, could have been in Helmand Province. Not complaining.

Don't Fuk with the Maltese Falcon is what he has learned. That plus a really good a-s-s reaming.
And he will carry this forever in whatever photocopy machine, located at a newly created post, likely in Mongolia, that he will be responsible for.
Myself I would get him a Gestetner.

What a fool! Do I take it by the number of vehicles traveling in the direction towards the right side of the video frame that it was our little diplomatic friend that was going the wrong way on a one way street? Lol. Seems so.

Anger management class, here you come fella.

Streets are from centuries ago. Drivers move to one side, wait if needed.

Oh well, just assumed.

Well, I just really, really wanted him to be dead wrong, lol. It would just look good on him.

Could be it was, hard to tell.
We are planning, hopefully in a few years to go to Greece, showed this to my wife and then Malta. Oh we can just add that in along with Italy.

Add that in- We know what that means.
I best get 2 more jobs.

yeah I was pulling for that too....but if ya think about it, it was kind of better because he had the right to move forward, but no one would let him...lmao... what a really nice easy simple fuk you gesture... I take it he got out of his car at that point and removed his shirt.

Can you imagine the humiliation of being with him?

I found him kind of embarrassing just watching him on video to be honest. If I'd been in that car, I'd have sunk all the way down to the floorboards, lol.

If it had been me I would have been crying and trying to yank him back in the car...that kind of rage though, buddy would likely have hauled off and swiped at any mediators. I like harmony... I don't like that kind of presentation and never have continued contact with people like that...they are poisonous.

Well and the honest truth is I would never be with someone like that. Keep your temper in check or hit the road, I don't have the time or patience for that bull****.

If he would have just backed up he would have been on his way that much sooner. Sometimes we just have to suck it up. It sure as hell is not worth getting that riled up over.

Not posted there yet. Might be a good way to retire him from the workforce without the nasty business of severance.
