Cause when our best of friends from down south stick their cock down our throats. Boot lickers like durry make sure to swallow the whole load.

Even they seem to slowly but surely "evolving" on this issue. It'll be decriminalized in both countries at the very least. Its just a question of when.

Canada is a country of law and order and it often costs us taxpayers a lot of money to maintain and enforce our laws.

In this country, everybody is expected to be law abiding citizens.

As well in this country, individuals don't get to chose which ones they will abide by and which ones they will ignore and do as they please.
We as a country have progressed well beyond that type of third world thinking.

Not really. Kids in high school have been smoking, drinking and doing drugs for many decades. They chose to break those laws and the vast majority (including myself) get away with it. Even when they admit to having done it. A number of adults continue to openly break those same laws and even then rarely get into any trouble over it. Well, here anyway. In the US its a different story. Its not third world thinking when damn near everyone in first world countries do it at least once. Not just these laws either, ever j-walked? I doubt there is a single person in this country who hasnt at some point.

These particular laws make no sense. I havent broken them in years but thats just because drugs dont appeal to me, it has nothing to do with the fact that they are laws. I have no issue with anyone breaking laws which restrict a persons freedom to do what they want with their own bodies if it only affects that one person. These laws do that. Are drugs bad? Probably. But people should be totally free to destroy themselves with drugs if thats what they want to do. It doesnt affect me or you if they do that.

Give me a break. You can toke up in broad daylight in Vancouver and the cops just ignore you. In today's society, it isn't a big deal.

And if you take a walk through the Eastern part of the city you would think there are no laws given what is done in the open. I was really shocked when I saw east Hastings for the first time.

He may not be, but the youth vote will not be enough and if he keeps on like this it could (likely will) blow up in his face.

Depends on if he can get them out or not. The youth are generally ignored politically simply because by and large they stay home. With our system it only takes a 1-2% difference in popular vote to totally change things one way or another.

Like mother like son I guess !!

This dumbo was smoking the stuff while being paid as an MP, he was breaking the law and probably dealing with shady characters to get the smokes, and doing all this while trying to look like a goody goody!!

Two dealers I know, that I could get smoke off of if I wanted, are business owners. One is a member of the Chamber of Commerce for crying out loud.

Why support stupid laws? I would rather he smoked pot than be a drunken redneck Alberian.
Leave my family out of this, what did they ever do to you? Geez.

I don't agree with the pot laws, but Justin is very stupid for doing so while aspiring to be Prime Minister. Stupid stupid stupid.

RCS, he's counting on pot reform getting him elected. It won't if people think he doesn't even smoke the stuff. This wasn't a whoops revelation.

Canada is a country of law and order and it often costs us taxpayers a lot of money to maintain and enforce our laws.

Which is why we shouldn't have stupid ones that people disagree with or don't care about.

I think it's refreshing for a member of the House of Commons to be so refreshingly honest when it comes to the use of cannabis, and especially when it comes to the leaders of our realistic federal parties. I think that this wins major points for Mr. Justin Trudeau M.P. (Papineau), the Leader of the Liberal Party. I think that his position demonstrates a responsible attitude toward cannabis, and I can only hope that once the Liberals are able to form Government (here's looking forward to 2015!), that this attitude continues and we can see real and proper legislative reform on this issue.

I also want to point out how absolutely sensationalist and ridiculous the Conservative Party of Canada sounds in its criticisms of Mr. Trudeau over this issue. To suggest that a puff or two demonstrate "poor judgement"—even as a member of Parliament—is nonsense. The Conservatives are going to continue to alienate young voters with their continued rhetoric on issues like this. The older generation can only keep the Tories in power for so long.

I guess this dumbo thinks he's above all that!!
Has this dumbo ever made a good decision in his life???

Poor calculation. It makes him look very immature.

You know Cliff, I'm not an Albertan, but I find your general attitude about such things as narrow minded as those you accuse of being, well, narrow minded.

He smoked up five or six times in his life....

57%. Impressive.

If we had a democracy.....

Exactly! If we had a democracy, it would already be legal, but its not.

He's smoking something !!!!!!

Well, that explains why he supports Harper on not abolishing the Senate..........

Sign the petition

We, the undersigned residents of Canada, recognize the following:

that there is no place for an unelected, unaccountable Senate in our democracy;

that the $92.5 million a year it costs to run this archaic institution would be better spent elsewhere; and
that appointed senators, especially those who abuse their privileges, do not represent the interests or values of Canadians.

Therefore, we call on the Government of Canada to abolish the unelected, unaccountable Senate once and for all.

Roll up the red carpet: It's time to abolish the Senate.

When one looks for a good leader, one looks at the decisions the candidates have made in the past and how they made those decisions.

When we have an elected MP in our parliament, we expect them to use the parliamentary process to make or change our laws. After all, this is a system that we pay for with our tax dollars and it's supposed to provide an appropriate measure of checks and balances before proposed laws become actual laws.

But I guess dumbo Trudeau does not understand our parliamentary system and the value of our system but prefers to rely on his immature teenager tactics to try to change our laws!!
What a dumbo!!

Get off your "high horse" already. Even the cleverest people do something stupid once in awhile!

As far as "dumbo" goes if there was a match between his I.Q. and yours I'd bet on his...................by about 50 points. -:)
