D-link Wireless N Home Network Camera (DCS-930L) : IP Cameras - Future Shop

Thanks mate, running up to FutureShop right now.. they have a phone hold for me.. 1 camera sitting at customer service.
For plain remote viewing...like the one I took the snapshot with......set-up's a breeze.....It get's more complicated when you set up the motion detection and the e-mail client.....but they have detailed instructions on line to set-up your router for that......
I wish they had a router patch for that.......maybe with a dlink router?????you never know......

zirconium oxide blade, have to look into that..

actually here is the pic of my knife..

It's been well used..
Razor sharp, never needs sharpening. You can hone a crystal down to an edge one molecule thick. You can't do that with steel, it'll curl.

Only drawback is the blade is fairly brittle. You can't use it sideways to pry things. (I know, that's bad knife use, but c'mon, 'fess up, we've all done it one time or another.)

A good, inexpensive brand (and the one pictured) is Boker.

Thanks.. all done installing and cleaning for the day..

Very clean picture.. downloaded the mydlink FREE app for iPhone and setup my online account.. every impressed at the quality for the price.. and all wifi.

Mind you, you are giving up some privacy by having that webcam operational, as the image is streamed to a server, then to your iPhone.

Anyone who has access to that server has access to all video or images on that server..

Just Say'in.. don't set it up in the bedroom or any other place you may want to get down in the home, kitchen table..wherever. .

They even have WiFi thermostats so you can remotely control the temperature of your house when you are away...about $140.00...
But then I figured for the one or two occasion I might be away in the winter for more than 24hrs......I can relocate one of the other cameras to aim at a thermometer.....If anything ever went wrong with the furnace, I would have to call a repairman anyways and my neighbour has a key to the house for such emergencies.
That was the main reason for buying the cameras when I saw I could get three for the price of one thermostat.
And the neighbour and my son know how to turn off the two Dobermans I leave behind when I go.......;-)8)

Northern Ontario,
If ever you want to do a real time recording of one of your wifi cams....D-Link has an application for that, but I find it too much work for the amount of use I will get out of it, and it also leaves port 40 and 443 open on your router and I don't like that.
I found that Debut Video Capture Software much easier to use just recording a section of your desktop when you have your camera viewing turned on.
