It was a start was it not. He only won by a nose. A thin nose.
Regardless Egypt is an economic basket case. The subsidies are bankrupting them. Same with inefficient farms. Subsidized to keep more unemployed from migrating to cities that have no jobs.
The place is fuked.

Now that the tourist industry is practically dead, since the country has for various reasons become a dangerous place, what have they got? I can't thhink of anything the country produces that someone else would want, except maybe Egyptian cotton, and I don't know how healthy that industry is.

Tourism did bring funds in. But the economy is due for a crash. Google it and see the results.

History is being made in Egypt as we speak, but you probably wouldn't know it if you watch American networks

Many Egyptians are pissed at the USA because of Obama's support of Morsi..

Anti-Morsi Egyptian protesters burn US ambassador’s photo, Muslim Brotherhood HQ

What ever happen to Obama making the USA more likable around the world, after Bush???

Personally, I like Bush's style.. "Either you're with us, or your with the terrorist," and he went in alone into Iraq.. that's a leader with balls..

Not a leader that licks balls..

Come to think about it... that never did happen did it?

Well Europe (Germany) had a sorta love affair with Obama, and Africa because that was his homeland.. that has quickly eroded..

Protests in Africa, British parliament not happy with his visit and now the EU pissed at the USA for spying..

Hell, he's losing his support at home here in the USA with independents, and with all the scandals..

O.K., O.K. back to topic..

I wonder if Morsi has been killed.. he is missing and not heard from. The people don't want an Islamic government, they want a government that represent all the people.

I would love to see this spread for democracy across the Middle East, starting with IRAN!!

Well, "alone" if you ignore the battalions of Marines and soldiers, and the Secret Service detachment.

Going it alone, meaning the USA going in alone without the so call allies that bailed on the USA..

It's showed the USA still had balls.. under Obama, the USA has never looked so weak.. can't even protect it's own in Benghazi. Might as well paint a big red bull eyes on USA citizens abroad.

The Iraq war may have not been justified, however because of Iraq becoming a free country with democratic elections, I think the rest of the region and people in Egypt, Libya, Iran and Syria want the same... Bush paved the way for the Arab Spring.

Absolutely. A superpower with a half-trillion plus dollars per year in military budget "going it alone" against a sixth-rate military sporting 1970s-era weapons.

Damn, we're hard!

I was there. You weren't. Case closed.

Seems they put up a good fight that lasted a few years, with those 1970s-era weapons. ;)

The fact remains, because of President G.W. Bush the Arab Spring is a reality, and he showed the world that the USA was a strong nation and would defend it's sovereignty against the "Evil Doers" in this world.

...not blame it on a video. Case Closed.

If you attack a nation with your balls you will get your nuts crushed eh.

Freedom is gained by the blood of those who are willing to fight for it..

The people of Egypt are doing this right now..

That is true in the simplest context of course but of late, say the last ten thousand years or so, it has been demonstrated that the most cost effective blood to spill invariably comes from the lower classes who invariably are wasted by the thousands capturing and or killing other equally low defenders of the important classes among which the difficulty was fermented in the first place. If the greedy bastards at the top did their own killing their population problem wouldn't seem so dire a crisis to them.
